Team Pulselive: The People Podcast | Episode 15 — Women at Pulselive

We’re excited to share the latest episode of our People Podcast, which celebrates March as Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.

In this episode, our Design Studio Manager, Izzy Thomas, shares her inspiring story about working in the Sports Tech industry. For Izzy, International Women’s Day signifies celebrating gender equality and promoting an inclusive and diverse workforce, a core value at Pulselive.

According to Izzy, significant progress has been made over the past year, in creating an environment that prioritises diversity, equality, and inclusion at work. As an example, our Studio team has doubled in size in the past 20 months, including the addition of four female hires. She does however highlight one of our recruitment challenges being the lack of female applicants for open roles. This is a wider industry challenge that our Talent and HR team recognises and is actively working to attract a more diverse pool of candidates.

Despite this challenge, Izzy describes her experience as a woman in the tech industry as overwhelmingly positive, particularly at Pulselive. She’s advanced her career within the Design team, with a culture that promotes diversity and inclusion. We’re proud to see a growing recognition in the sporting world to drive gender equality, and we’re committed to being part of that change.
