Covid-19 touched all the industries and even tasks in business. Blogging is no exception. The statistics show that there are quite differences before and during Corona. Still, we cannot say after, right?

***The source of all the statistics in this article.***

There are more readers now.

It’s not my guess. Statistics tell that 77% of internet users are reading blogs. That’s why we need to write all these articles to reach out.

Well, basically that’s because people had more time when it started. Companies didn’t know what to do. Many employees had a break to work for a while. Even though things have started changing, some new habits are here with us now.

Blogs = 434% higher chance in SEO

Wow! I don’t really know what to say. This is way more than expected. No doubt, we know blogging is great for SEO. But 434% is a bit dramatic. However, I have to tell that it doesn’t mean any blog will work amazingly. There are technical, practical, statistical… blah blah… details to consider while managing your blog. This statistic is giving us the potential of blogs. So, don’t waste it.

Blog posts are more effective than ads

People are tired of ads. And let’s be honest: We usually don’t see very interesting ads. There are just [some] great works. Internet users (70% of them, according to the statistics) are more interested in learning or having fun with a brand than being exposed to the ads (and more ads).

Blogs can deliver knowledge, share good tips, and be entertaining. Blog posts are also in many shapes: text, video, infographics, etc. Diversity, usefulness, creativity. What else do you look for to communicate with your target audience?

B2B companies really need a blog.

B2B companies usually cannot find their target on Instagram. Content marketing for B2B works a bit differently. The blog post is the top-performing content type for B2B to build brand awareness.

Blog posts give information. They share an experience. People find them through real searches. That’s why they are crucial. That’s why I wanted to start this newsletter with this topic. Well, when we don’t need blogging anymore, we will know it through the statistics. Therefore, it’s nice to keep tracking user behavior and trends.
