Dear Pundians,

In order to install and operate XPOS in Japan, we have been working closely with the Financial Services Agency (FAS) and comply with regulations for a long time. Japan has established strict requirements for crypto businesses. For this, we have set up a legal entity in Japan and conducted regular reporting to FAS. This will continue in the future to ensure better compliance. Meanwhile, let us share with you some exciting activities.

At Comic Market 96 on Aug 12, the world’s largest comic on-the-spot sale event with the number of visitors at around 730,000, held in Japan, we have made the first XPOS crypto transaction. Through the collaboration with the exhibition booth, we installed XPOS and confirmed that the first XPOS payment was made in Japan. It was a small purchase of around $10, but it is a big step for the project.

We expect to take this experience back into the FSA process to proceed with future developments step by step.

Up next, we are planning to officially exhibit at “AkiColle” in Tokyo on September 22, 2019. We will be selling goods relevant to the events at our booth and assist users with XPASS registration that is compliant with FSA regulations.

We will announce more details about the event, please stay tuned.
