Product Development
XPOS Device Enhancements
Added a crypto input tab: XPOS merchants can now place payment orders using crypto units. This new feature was requested by merchants running crypto exchange shops to provide more flexibility and convenience for processing off-ramp transactions.
Streamlined On-Chain Addresses: The Pundi X developers have worked diligently to optimize on-chain addresses for XPOS merchants, simplifying the process and reducing potential errors during transactions. This enhancement ensures smoother and safer crypto transactions.
Preparing for New Token Listings: The team is revamping the Pundi X system so that new tokens will be available for merchants to process on-chain transactions for various Web3 wallet users and provide immediate stable coin settlement.
Merchant and Distributor Portal Improvements
Account Details Revision: We prioritize your convenience. Both distributors and merchants can now easily update their account details through the portal, saving time and effort in managing their accounts.
Featured XPOS Merchants and Partnerships
Pundi X Türkiye has made significant strides in expanding its presence and fostering cryptocurrency adoption. The revamp of the Pundi X Turkey website has enhanced accessibility to Pundi X physical exchange outlets across the country, while the introduction of another new physical cryptocurrency exchange in Turkey reflects the company’s commitment to advancing crypto accessibility.
Diamond Shoppe in South Africa
The partnership with Diamond Shoppe in South Africa has expanded the use cases for XPOS, allowing customers to purchase diamonds using crypto. Diamond Shoppe specializes in the finest diamond engagement rings Cape Town has to offer, now accepts crypto via XPOS.
These developments in Turkey and South Africa underline Pundi X’s dedication to making cryptocurrency transactions more accessible and diverse in utility across different regions.
New XPOS merchant in Uganda
Counter 25, a new Pundi X XPOS physical location for buying and selling crypto has opened at Kampala City Plaza in Uganda.
Community and Events
USDT transaction value on Tron Network increased 47%
We’ve witnessed a notable 47% increase in transactions with USDT on the TRON blockchain in the past 4 months, indicating growing interest and usage among XPOS merchants. This also garnered attention as it was covered in AMB Crypto’s article.
Pundi X in Japan
Pundi X Japan has been actively engaged in various events and community-building efforts in the region. The company had a presence at the Comic Festival, showcasing its commitment to reaching a diverse audience.
Additionally, the team also participated in the Offchain Tokyo Web3 Networking MeetUp alongside DYDX, demonstrating its involvement in the blockchain and crypto community.
XPOS was presented at the Ham Fair event in Tokyo, further emphasizing its effort to promoting crypto adoption and awareness through active participation in events and community engagement in Japan.
Last but not the least, a local cafe named “REISSUE” in Japan creatively incorporated the Pundi X logo into their latte art, offering a unique coffee experience.
Pundi X spoke in Global FinTech Institute
Pundi X CEO and Co-founder Zac Cheah gave a presentation on Web3 payments during the Global FinTech Institute Monthly Fintech Series in Singapore as well as being one of the panelists alongside Binance Pay and Aleta Planet to discuss about Web2 v.s. Web3 payments.
XSpaces in August: Crypto Payments in South Africa and beyond
