Monthly report: a recap of activities in May 2022
Dear Pundians,
This is the month where we take our time to appreciate the hard-working individuals and organizations who hustled amid tough bear markets. Without continuous building, the industry won’t move forward.
In May, we have XPOS distributor’s marketing activities in Argentina, two crypto shop openings in Turkey, a crypto education seminar in Taiwan, a market visit to Honduras and more! Our partnerships are continuously growing and expanding. By educating more people about crypto, we make blockchain technology accessible for more, especially in the countries where they need the most.
Product development and innovation on our tech side is in full speed. Without further ado, let’s take a look at our progress this May.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
XPOS portal added fiat currency settings and withdrawal in BEP20
Starting from May, merchants are able to switch the fiat currency on their XPOS via the merchant portal at https://merchant.pundix.com. This is the feature request from our merchants operating XPOS in a crypto exchange shop that they would like to have the flexibility to switch the fiat currency on their XPOS.
Follow these simple steps:
1. Login to your merchant account on https://merchant.pundix.com/
2. Click “⚙️” the setup icon on the upper right-hand side
3. Choose “Fiat Currency” and pick the currency you need to set up
4. After clicking “Confirm”, the new fiat currency setting will be updated and requires a re-login to all your XPOS devices
Also, to utilize more affordable network fees on BNB Smart Chain, the XPOS update in May allows merchants to withdraw USDT or DAI from their accounts in BEP20. Please make sure to input the address supporting the USDT / DAI BEP20 tokens on BNB Smart Chain that you have the access to. Merchants can refer to more withdrawal tips below.

MERCHANT ADOPTION AND COLLABORATION
XPOS distributor activities in 🇦🇷
May was a busy month for our XPOS distributor in Argentina. The team is kicking off marketing activities for merchant acquisition from user gathering to radio interviews.
New Shops in Turkey 🇹🇷
Two new Pundi X crypto exchange shops were opened in Alanya and Esenyurt. It’s now a total of 10 shops in Turkey. Let’s check them out.
Pundi X in Honduras 🇭🇳
We have brought XPOS to Honduras, the neighboring country of El Salvador. As some of you may know, Bitcoin is accepted as a legal tender in Prospera, a special economic zone in Roatan, Honduras. Cheers to another step in making cryptocurrency accessible to people. 100 free XPOS units have been allocated for merchants in Honduras to grab. Pundi X also presented XPOS solutions to Honduras former president of Comisión Nacional de Bancos y Seguros Jose Luis Moncada, Financial Services Authority Honduras Próspera President Joel Bomgar as well as the officials of Roatan City Government. Mr. Moncada experienced XPOS firsthand and received an SMS notification after a successful transaction. Mr. Moncada also mentioned education is the key to crypto adoption in Honduras.
Crypto education workshop in Taiwan 🇹🇼
More people learned about crypto and how to purchase it using XPOS at Eddy’s Cantina restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan. Crypto matches well with Mexican food in this event. The event was organized by YouTuber Full Value Dan. This is a great opportunity for those who are eager to try and have a hands-on crypto experience.

On May 6, CEO and Co-Founder Zac Cheah was invited to share Pundi X’s experience n Brazil in ScaleUp inBrazil seminar together with Enterprise Singapore and Investment Promotion Agency ApexBrasil.
Keynote speech and exhibition in Wolves Summit
Pundi X attended the Wolves Summit and spoke about the future of Web3 and blockchain trends. Wolves Summit 2022 featured a 4-day week full of tech, innovation forums, investment, and recruiting talent on May 24–27 in Wroclaw, Poland.
