Meet Shannon: A California Stylist and Creator
Meet Shannon Kaiser. She’s a Punkpost Handwriting Artist, who’s hands not only script lovely letters for Punkpost customers but also model alongside our newest card collections. (Luckily, we also snagged a photo of her face out enjoying some California nature.)
Not only does Shannon hand model for Punkpost and write your cards, but she also styles all of our shoots: “I love styling the shoots because it gives me a chance to express my creative side” she says. “I get super into it and it’s fun to see my ideas come alive.”
If you’ve peeked at our Instagram feed or Facebook wall, you’ve seen our cards stylin’ next to our favorite writing utensils and stamps. You can thank Shannon for that eye candy.

Her fave: This purrrfect card tops Shannon’s list of favorite cards she’s created because it features both her drawing (see Cheshire Cat) and her cursive lettering. “And who doesn’t like an Allison Wonderland themed card.”

- Location: San Mateo, California
- Background: She’s always had an eye for style and design, starting with scrapbooking and craft projects as a kid. Since, she’s picked up handlettering.
- Putting down the pens: California calls to this Oregon native. She’s lived in the Bay Area for 3 years and loves it. It’s got the big city, the mountains and the ocean, which she frequently explores. She also likes to take her adventures farther to places like Thailand, Costa Rica and South Africa.
- Go-to doodle: Flowers and greenery
- Favorite writing utensil: Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens
- Favorite stamps: Music icon Janis Joplin
- Favorite card to write: Any for kids.
- Workspace: Desk in her bedroom. She’s tried to cozy up on the couch or bed, but ends up loosing her pens right and left.
- Favorite time to write: Before bed. “It’s a great way to relax and unwind.”

Fiesta: Taco Tuesday or not, we love everything about this card, especially that little taco mustache.
Envelope art: That’s the only words you can use to describe these envelopes headed off for their journeys around the country. That first one is an extension of Cheshire Cat’s tree. Meow, she’s good!
Jazz it up: We don’t even need to say it. Shannon’s a cat doodle pro. Seriously, only a professional can draw a cat in jazzercise class.
Location, location, location: Sometimes the travel bug makes it into a card. Isn’t that Italy card making you hungry?
