Lew Nicholas details recruitment

Purdue is recruiting Lew Nicholas III a 5’11 200 pound Running Back out of Cass Tech HS, Michigan. He holds offers from Purdue, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Missouri, West Virginia, just to a name a few. But cut his list down to four teams. Purdue, Cincinnati, Minnesota and Pittsburgh. And it will be a all out battle between the teams.

In a recent interview, He told Purdue Takeover how each team sits in his recruitment process.

“All four of my top teams sit pretty even…i would say all four of the schools recruit me the hardest. I communicate with all. four schools thoroughly throughout the week.”

He currently doesn’t have his official visits set up but will be taking an unofficial to Purdue this Monday he said.

“I don’t have any official visits set up at the moment but I will be at Purdue next Monday then I believe Pittsburgh in late June and Minnesota and Cincinnati in July.”

This next few days will be an important to Purdue as we will hosted DE JJ Weaver, RB Wandale Robinson, and QB Paul Piferi all for an official Friday. And the second prospect camp is being held today, so we might see a commit come from the camp.

He then talks about his Unofficial visit he took with us on March 31st. He said the visit was great and left with a great impression of the coaches.

“My unofficial visit on the 31st was great, the new facility was great, the coaches were real cool and down to earth and overall a great visit.”

He plans on committing within the next 2 months but also wants to wait until the time is right.

“ I plan on committing sometime in June or July but at the same time I will wait until I’m ready.”

And his goal for this upcoming season is too win State as they come up just a bit short from last year. And he is looking into majoring in business but has not fully decided yet.
