2020 Virtual 5k

Part of our 2020 Scholarship Endowment Fundraiser Series

Participate virtually anywhere October 1st through October 31st, 2020. Whether you want to walk, jog, crawl, or run — anyone is welcome to participate. Whether you were born in 2020 and still in diapers, or you were born in 1802 like John Purdue (huh?) — anyone is welcome to participate. Whether you want to walk on a sidewalk, run on a treadmill, or job on a wildlife trail — anyone is welcome to participate.

• Cost: Minimum registration fee of $20. Additional donations to the Purdue Alumni Club of San Diego Scholarship Endowment Fund are greatly appreciated.

  We ask that each participating adult (18 & older) registers and acknowledges the Liability Waiver.
• Description: The Virtual 5K is a 3.1-mile virtual race in which participants have the option to walk, jog, crawl, or run the five-kilometer distance on the sidewalk, treadmill, or trail. Funds raised through the 5K will benefit the Purdue Alumni Club of San Diego Scholarship Endowment Fund which supports scholarships for students attending Purdue University from the San Diego area. After you have registered and completed your 5k, you will be asked to submit “proof” of the activity, such as a picture or a GPS map. There will be prizes, such as for most Purdue spirit picture and fastest time. Participants will be required to complete a Liability Waiver.
