The sad truth was mirrors don’t lie. Eddie Cantor knew he was in big trouble as he walked by his bathroom mirror and saw his stomach protruding out. It was gross.

A couple of months earlier Eddie’s Doctor had given him a friendly ultimatum. Eddie should try to lose ten pounds. He suggested Eddie set a date to reach his target weight. If he didn’t Dr. Gillen said that Eddie should seriously consider going on Ozempic or one of the other weight losing drugs. The truth was Eddie was at risk of a serious heart attack. He had to lose the fat around his stomach. He had reached an obese stage and it was putting his health at serious risk.

Eddie was determined to lose the weight but instead he kept eating everything in sight. He had lost weight for a while but for some weird reason reverted back to bad habits. He attributed getting heavier to his dog Lucky getting older and not having the strength to go for long walk, but in his heart he knew that was bullshit. Eddie could’ve walked without his dog. He could’ve joined a gym and hit the treadmill. Eddie knew he needed a lifestyle change but he didn’t know if he was capable of making one.

Once he had gone on a forty day lose weight program with the incentive being that if he lost the weight his Niece and Nephew were going to…
