Rocky Johnston, the Head Coach of the very successful Arizona Cardinals never forgot the influence Teddy Glazier had on his life. When Rocky was growing up in Oshawa (a blue-collar town forty miles East of Toronto), his parent’s died in a tragic car accident on the 401 when a drunk driver crossed lanes and smashed into their vehicle head-on. Rocky was thirteen.

Mr. Glazier and his wife Claire were neighbours and they jumped into action. They made sure Rocky and his Sister Joanne, had every thing they could ever need in life.

Mr. Glazier was a stock broker and an athlete. He invested his own money for Rocky and Joanne and before long they had enough to go to University. Mr. Glazier loved going to the Toronto Argonaut games (the CFL) and he would take Rocky with him.

Even though he had no experience playing on a team, Mr. Glazier would go to a field every Saturday and kick field goals. It was amazing how accurate he was. Rocky would often go with him and Mr. Glazier would throw him passes for hours. Rocky became a very proficient Wide Receiver. In fact he dominated his High School league.
