I don’t have much faith in the common advice online on how to overcome lust.

It’s okay. But not extraordinary. It sounds good, but when it comes time to apply it, it often falls short, because it’s complex.

Let me introduce you to the way that brought me freedom.

It’s not a short-term fix but a solution that builds upon itself with time.

The longer you apply what I will share, the more powerful it will become.

It worked for me, it will work for you too.

Let’s get into it.

The Hill Covered in Ice

Imagine a hill covered with smooth slippery ice.

Your goal is to get to the top. Because of ice, every time you take a step, you fall and slide back where you started. Even if you manage to climb higher than 10 steps, one mistake makes you slide back to the beginning.

After getting over the disappointment and shame, you try again.

And fail again.

This is what it feels like trying to overcome lust.

It’s a never-ending battle that is impossible to fight. No matter what you try, you end up at the beginning. Because you want to be free, you try again hoping you’ll succeed, but never will.

You Need a New Approach

I invite you to stop and think about this.

Realize, it’s not going to work trying to climb the icy hill. Admit that you need a new approach. You have to first address what prevents you from getting up the hill. The hill is not a big challenge, the incline is not too steep. What makes it impossible is the ice.

The hill represents a challenge. The incline indicates you need to put in some effort and overcome the resistance if you ever want to reach the top.

What is the ice?

It’s guilt.

Guilt ruins your success in overcoming lust.

Let that sink in.

Guilt Is Your Biggest Obstacle in Overcoming Lust

Guilt condemns you but doesn’t help you to get higher up the hill.

It makes you struggle. It’s not the random ads with poorly covered women that make you fall. It’s guilt.

If you break the ice, you can climb up the hill.

If not, you’ll be sliding down for the rest of your life.

Besides, let me tell you something shocking.

Guilt has no right to bother, condemn or make you feel bad.

Why?

Because your eyes are set on the goal — reaching the top of the hill. You want to beat lust so bad that I’m sure if genies in the bottles existed and you had one this would be your wish.

Why should guilt beat you if you’re doing your best to overcome lust?

It’s because it doesn’t want you to succeed, but that’s another topic.

How to Climb the Icy Hill?

Now you know what makes your fight against lust ineffective.

How do you deal with guilt?

I know it will sound so wrong but here it is.

Refuse to feel guilty about lust.

I’m not saying you should stop trying to overcome temptations to look at adult content. I’m saying, reject guilt because you already know that lust is wrong.

Guilt doesn’t need to prove anything more. You know lust is evil, you want to beat it and live above it. Guilt is not helping you, it’s the biggest obstacle in conquering lust.

Instead of feeling guilty, set your eyes on the top of the hill where your freedom is.

Don’t hear, see, smell or think about anything else until you reach the top. Daydream about being there and how it will feel like.

I know you desire to be free.

I know you’re tired of trying and failing.

I know you don’t see much hope.

But you need to get so mad at the guilt. Break it and don’t allow it to spread.

Once you break enough of it, climbing to the top will be surprisingly easy.
