How To Break Out Of Line

Even though she lost the race, her speech was a slight breath of fresh air. It laid out several things that we know others can’t deny. And even if this article might not age all that well in the political sense, the few clips I saw were a slight heel turn from Republican talking points.

Even though Trump won the primary race in New Hampshire last month, things aren’t looking so great for him. There’s all the felony charges of course, but setting that aside his victory was not as grand as it typically was.

This is on top of Nikki Haley’s speech being something different from past candidates who bowed out after the first primary in Iowa and went to endorse Trump.

While I have little hope for the Republican party, at least for this moment, Haley’s concession speech is something I can point to and say “she’s breaking out of line.”

And that is a good thing.

Regardless of our political ideologies, humanity has become somewhat predictable. We do what we’re told, question little (if nothing at all), get offended by things and lash out at whoever isn’t conforming to our world view.

We’re not wholly predictable as we can still change on a dime and go against the grain as it were. But the…
