The traditional “command and control”, “lead and win” model of building businesses is no longer fit for purpose. Forward-thinking brands are embracing the complexity and opportunity of ecosystems thinking: collaborating with competitors for mutual gain, and inviting customers to be co-designers and even co-owners.

Our two-day workshop is designed to help you map and understand the dynamics of your organisation’s ecosystem and unlock its problem-solving potential. It will give you a fresh look at where power sits within your ecosystem, and how that shifts based on relationships and context. It will help you see information and evidence in new ways, saving you time, money and energy.

How it works

We start on Day 1 with a practical breakdown of an ecosystem’s elements and drivers: where you can influence and leverage. We take you through the value of partnership and how to identify direct and indirect value exchange. Through dynamic game-playing, we get you to understand and feel the ebb and flow of an ecosystem — the different levels of power at play, and how quickly power can shift.

Day 2 is dedicated to helping you build your understanding of your organisation’s own ecosystem. By plotting your ecosystem and identifying the priority elements within it for your key initiatives, you will learn to see opportunities to build stronger relationships around the key levers of impact. Finally, we will equip you with a set of tools for influence, impact, leverage and learning that will help you maximise existing relationships and build new ones, ensuring that you get the most value possible from your ecosystem.

Outputs

At the end of session, you’ll have:

  • A clear understanding of how ecosystems work
  • A map of your own ecosystem
  • Game-playing tools that unlock the power of ecosystem thinking
  • An ecosystems methodology that you can use within your organisation or with your clients
