Here at Push Doctor we are always looking for great talents to expand our Design Team. Our designers solve complicated problems for our patients and drive the business forward through Design Thinking. We’re extremely passionate about our products and how we use Design to achieve our goals.
As a result, our recruitment process is longer than usual to make sure we get the very best talent.

What this means for you is that you get to work in an organisation which values the Design skill set extremely highly. There are massive opportunities to develop, learn and progress.

Do you want to know more? Here is our recruitment process in detail:

The Patient Hub (Workshop)

Hello, nice to meet you
The first chat is just an introduction to answer any questions you might have and to give to you a more detailed view about what we believe and how we design. We also use this time to understand your idea about the ideal culture. To make it less formal, it will take place in our favourite coffee shop in central Manchester — we are happy to have this chat remotely as well.

Length: 30mins
Where: Remotely/Manchester
Meet: Product Designer
Advice: Tell us something we can remember ☕

Portfolio Review
The portfolio review is the first formal step of our recruitment process and is usually conducted by a member of the Design Team. It normally takes around one hour and the main idea is to go through a couple of projects from your portfolio. It’s important for us to understand the reasons behind some of your design decisions and gather some details about your involvement in the design process. We believe in processes and we particularly appreciate case studies where the design solution has touched every aspect of what we consider a correct approach to design. We usually finish the interview with some important questions regarding your salary expectation and notice period.

Length: 1hr
Where: Remotely/Manchester
Meet: Product Designer(s)
Advice: Process first 📐

Whiteboard Session
If your portfolio review goes well, we will invite you into our offices to take part in the second step of the interview process. During this step, you will have the chance to solve a Product Design problem with a cross-functional team. At Push Doctor we like to step outside our comfort zone and solve challenging problems, so during the whiteboard session we will randomly open the book “Solving Product Design Exercises: Questions & Answers” and collaborate in order to arrive to a design solution together. This gives us the chance to see how you approach a new task and how you adapt in a new environment, as well as giving you an opportunity to see if we are a good match for you.

Length: 1.30hr
Where: A Whiteboard in Manchester
Meet: Product Designer, Researcher, Product Manager and Developer
Advice: Don’t be shy 😳

Lunch
We like to hire people who we would like to spend time with, and we would love to know what you enjoy doing outside of work. To get to know you better, we will invite you to lunch with the team where we can bond over good food (and good beer!)

Length: 1.30hr
Where: Manchester
Who: The Product & Design Team
Advice: Be yourself and share your Spotify Playlist!💪

Meet the Management
It’s time to meet the Management. Our CEO, Wais Shaifta and our CPO Neal will explain more about the business and the new exciting opportunities the company is exploring. Laura, our People Manager, will give you all the details about the contract. This is the final stage of the interview process, and in a couple of days we will get back to you.

Length: 30mins max. /each
Where: Manchester
Who: CEO, CPO & People Manager
Advice: Good luck 🤞

Thanks for reading,
The Design Team

The general interview process should require a few weeks; depending on the location of the candidate and if needed we can compress all interview stages into one day.
