To become presence means accepting the risk of absence

Love is a gamble

Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence. — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

wake to the light that opens your spirit

the world,
it needs those who come alive

though the task ahead is not easy
nor just
existence is all we have left to fight for
and yet
we have to be willing to risk it all
because
love is a gamble

or would you rather retreat?
solemn and quiet
for the rest of your days
only to scratch an itch
that does not subside?

only to watch as the floating smoke
is all that is left
to remind you
of the auburn flame
that was snuffed out completely?
