Put It To Rest

When the Landscape Drifts

a poem

Photo by Sergei Solo on Unsplash

When the landscape drifts
when the past shifts
when those around you
shape shift and switch.

How do you find a fit?

That perfect near miss
when the landscape drifts
because it slides
before your dusty eyes
floating there by the sea.
