Put It To Rest

Without Anxiety

A poem on a mental “what if”

Photo by Pavel Anoshin on Unsplash

I could hear birds chirping
Taking flight in the autumnal wind
Liberated wings of great height
Sailing effortlessly on by

I could soak in the stillness
Absorbing its tranquil touch
Bathing in its comforts
Rather than squirm from its revelations
