PWiC Berlin: Team Building Activity
PWiC Berlin is one of our upcoming chapters preparing to build a local community of Pakistani women in technology and computing fields studying, working and living in Germany. Berlin is also PWi’C first chapter in Europe.
PWiC Berlin had its first #IAMRemarkable workshop on June 15, 2019.
#IAMRemarkable Workshop + Team Building
For IWD19 this year, Google Women Techmakers started and inspired a series of workshops globally called #IAMRemarable. The intent was to inspire women in tech to embrace that they are remarkable and share it with others.
It was a team building activity organized by PWiC Berlin. The meetup was aimed towards building a strong PWiC local team in Berlin and align the local PWiC community to PWiC’s global vision of empowering and lifting each other up. The team building activity was followed by the workshop led by Asema Hassan, PWiC Berlin chapter lead who attended #IamRemarkable workshop by Women Techmakers in Berlin this year. The attendees took this opportunity to speak about their achievements, no matter how big or small, the importance of building a brand and the right promotion of their successes to get the visibility they deserve, identifying and combatting impostor syndrome, and the benefits of building a local community that supports, celebrates, mentor, empower and lift each other.
The attendees felt motivated and inspired after the workshop. Thanks to all the Berlin team members, Yusra Shakeel, Sadia Naz, Mariam Baloch, Mariam Naeem, Fatima Idrees for their availability and support.
