Chapter Lead: Ayesha Akhtar

Machine Learning, AI & Robotics Enthusiast | Data Analyst at Data Pilot.

Ayesha Akhtar possesses compendious experience in the software industry working on varied projects with the government — Pakistan Citizens Portal and Pakistan’s first Open Data Portal — previously under Code for Pakistan. However, recently she has made a switch to the Data domain. She has bagged leading roles for several local and international tech communities like Google Developers Group (GDG) Islamabad and Women Engineers Pakistan helping conduct technical workshops, hackathons, and conferences. She has an aptitude for leadership and community building. She is passionate about promoting female representation in STEM and enthused about disruptive technology and civic innovation. When she is not coding and volunteering, Ayesha fancies photography, traveling, and video games.

Connect Lead: Dr. Saddaf Rubab

Assistant Professor at National University of Science & Technology (NUST) | Distributed Computing Researcher.

Dr. Saddaf Rubab is working as Assistant Professor at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). She completed her doctoral studies at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia in May, 2018. In the context of her current research, she is working on forecasts and implementing AI techniques in various interdisciplinary areas. Apart from this, her research interests include distributed computing, security and prediction systems. Dr. Rubab has received research grants for ICT related projects from various research funding authorities and has been working on scientific projects of undergraduate and graduate level. She has also been invited as a keynote/invited speaker for FIT 2019 and IBCAST 2020. She is also serving as an active reviewer for several international journals and conferences.

Content Lead: Mahnoor Jamil

Mahnoor Jamil is a computer scientist and a penetration tester with 60+ certifications and recognition badges from organizations inclusive of Microsoft, Google, CISCO, Stanford, Harvard and IBM. She has worked in Project Management and Information Security in many countries across the world inclusive of Pakistan, China, Italy, and Netherlands. Furthermore, she also has splendid engagement experiences with many organizations inclusive of European Union in Pakistan (EU), United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) and Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS). Apart from this, she has been an active participant in various hackathons inclusive of Major League Hacking and Hacktoberfest across the world. With her tremendous passion of achieving her goals, she strives to be a positive contribution to the global tech community and grow disruptively.

Growth Lead: Maria Iqbal Malik

Scrum Master at Afiniti | Aspiring Agile Coach | CSM-PSM-AWS Certified.

Maria Iqbal is currently a Scrum Master for a UI team at Afiniti. She has 5 years of industry experience in Project management and Agile scrum. She helped teams at S&P global to reach the highest level of the scrum maturity model and also has done a couple of professional scrum certifications(CSM|PSM|SFC|AWS-Certified). She has an MS in Project Management and passionate about Agile coaching and helping others succeed. An active volunteer at Agile Pakistan Community who loves to spend 80% of her time practicing state-of-the-art Scrum processes and the rest 20% Talking. Since she loves to talk, mostly you would find her in mentorship roles.

Learn Lead: Fatima Farooq

Tech Enthusiast | NU-FAST | VR Developer.

Fatima Farooq is a tech enthusiast currently pursuing her teaching career at NU-FAST Islamabad that shows her passion for disseminating tech knowledge and experience for effective community building in the field of technology. She is a Virtual Reality developer and has made her mark in the VR field by winning the 6th Cloud programming world cup 2018 held in Tokyo, Japan. Her management and leadership skills attained while managing several tech-related workshops and events during her graduation will add value to the LEARN community by inspiring women vowed to excel in computing. She aims to create a difference in the field of technology by pursuing her research in the field of Data Science. Besides her keen interest in computing she is a community contributor and has worked for ALMS360 welfare trust as a volunteer. She is fond of traveling.

Dr. Yousra is an Assistant Professor at NUST-SEECS Islamabad | Hopper GHC ‘15.

Anqa Akram is an AI enthusiast who is adamant to disrupt the Pakistani Industry by providing AI based solutions to solve our native land’s problems and also improve our existing systems for a better experience. After a four year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from FAST NUCES Islamabad, she has worked as a machine learning engineer in a US based healthcare IT Company for almost a year. Following the insightful exposure in the industry regarding various aspects of the job, she decided to augment her life’s vision with a goal to uplift our females in STEM in both the academia and industry.

Yousra Javed, Anqa Akhram

Aiman Wajahat is a passionate Marketer with competency in Digital Marketing, Content Creation and Strategic Marketing. She lives and breathes marketing and has mastered the skill of leveraging social media to grow online. She is also a social work enthusiast and has been associated with renowned organizations and initiatives for the last 6 years. She loves to utilize her capabilities for a cause and wants to create an impact by uplifting others and spreading goodness. With her rich experience in marketing and social work, she aims to help organizations and individuals grow and thrive online and beyond!

Mufleha Ovais is currently working as a Mobile App Developer in Xgrid. She has finished her BS in Computer Science from FAST NUCES, Islamabad. She has experience in content writing through her contributions in campus level student society activities, university events and inter-university competitions. She was the Head of Publications in NASCON 2018. She also contributed to FAST Literary Society as a content writer and editor for the newspaper. In her spare time, she likes to play table tennis, watch movies, read novels, as well as explore history and different cultures through the wonderful world of the web.
