unagi(x) integrates CCIP to provide an ‘omnichain gaming experience’
unagi(x), the interoperability engine of unagi, the omnichain initiative, has integrated CCIP(CrossChain Interoperability Protocol) technology. Developed by Chainlink, CCIP is a cross-chain solution with its own secure network which connects multiple blockchains. Supported by CCIP, unagi(x) now encompasses WEMIX3.0, Kroma, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Polygon in its ecosystem. Users can choose networks to play games on WEMIX PLAY, as well as effortlessly manage their game assets with their una Wallets. They can also exchange their game tokens or NFTs minted from game assets into assets on other networks.
Kurrency PLAY, the first-ever game token borrowing service
WEMIX PLAY is the first blockchain platform to release a game token borrowing service with Kurrency PLAY. With this innovative service, users can deposit WEMIX to borrow game tokens, being able to access and utilize game tokens as needed without having to sell their WEMIX. They can use the tokens within the game or manage them via WEMIX PLAY’s GameFi. Kurrency PLAY stands out by eliminating the ‘liquidation’ process, allowing gamers to fully immerse themselves in long-form gameplay. The first game token available on Kurrency PLAY is the CROW token from the global version of NIGHT CROWS, with more game tokens slated for release in the near future.
Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP unveils new points system
Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP (RWC) introduced a new golf point system ahead of the start of the 2024 KLPGA (Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour. RWC awards points to tour players based on their performance throughout the season and distributes prize money according to the ranking. The top 24 players at the end of the tour are given the opportunity to participate in the WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP Tournament. In the 2023 season, points were tallied from the ‘WEMADE Major Points’ awarded to the top ten players in each tournament, ‘Stroke Points’ based on performance from the final round of the main event, and ‘Additional Points’ for the consecutive Top 10 entries or penalties during cut-offs. However, this season introduces a ‘Ranking Points’ system where points are allocated differentially based on final standings, with additional ‘KLPGA WEMADE Award Points’ for the top ten finishers. By awarding points based on the results, the new system seeks to spotlight players who have consistently excelled throughout the tour. The total prize remains the same as last year at 1.5 million WEMIX, and the new system came into effect with the season opener, ‘Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open’.
PoET rewards distribution policy update
We’re pleased to announce some changes to the PoET (Proof of Ecological Transaction) rewards distribution policy. PoET is a distribution program that rewards PMR (Permanent Minting Reward) to users and dApp builders who contribute to the ecosystem. The rewards are distributed across different levels proportional to the number of transactions, with the amount of WEMIX distributed per block varying according to the level. First, the number of levels has increased from 10 to 15. The levels are divided according to the number of transactions occurring within the past 86,400 blocks, based on the current block. Additionally, the ratio of rewards distributed to users vs builders has also changed from 1:1 to 3:1, an increase to encourage more users to participate in the ecosystem.

CCIP 탑재한 unagi(x), ‘옴니체인 게임 경험’ 선사
옴니체인 이니셔티브 unagi(우나기)의 핵심 엔진 unagi(x)(우나기 엑스)가 CCIP(CrossChain Interoperability Protocol, 크로스체인 상호운용성 프로토콜) 기술을 탑재했어요. CCIP는 Chainlink(체인링크)가 개발한 크로스체인 솔루션으로, 자체적인 보안 네트워크로써 여러 블록체인 네크워크를 연결해요. unagi(x)는 이러한 CCIP를 기반으로 WEMIX3.0(위믹스 3.0), Kroma(크로마), Avalanche(아발란체), BNB Chain(BNB 체인), Ethereum(이더리움), Polygon(폴리곤) 등을 하나의 생태계로 구성하죠. 이용자는 WEMIX PLAY(위믹스 플레이)에 온보딩한 게임을 즐길 때 다양한 네트워크를 선택할 수 있고, 게임에서 얻은 자산을 una Wallet(우나 월렛)에서 간편하게 운용할 수 있어요. 게임토큰이나 NFT로 민팅된 게임 아이템을 다른 네트워크의 자산으로 교환할 수도 있죠.
Kurrency PLAY, 블록체인 사상 첫 게임토큰 대출 서비스
WEMIX PLAY(위믹스 플레이)가 블록체인 플랫폼 최초로 게임토큰 대출 서비스 Kurrency PLAY(커런시 플레이)를 출시했어요. WEMIX를 담보로 예치하고 게임토큰을 빌릴 수 있는 서비스죠. 이용자는 가진 WEMIX를 매도하지 않으면서도 필요한 게임토큰을 대출, 운용할 수 있어요. 게임토큰은 해당 게임 내에서 사용하거나 WEMIX PLAY의 GameFi를 통해 운용할 수 있죠. Kurrency PLAY의 특징 중 하나는 ‘청산’이 없다는 거예요. 이용자가 긴 호흡으로 진행되는 게임을 부담 없이 즐길 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이죠. 첫 번째 게임 토큰은 NIGHT CROWS(나이트 크로우)의 글로벌 버전 토큰인 CROW이며, 추후 더욱 다양한 게임토큰을 Kurrency PLAY에서 만날 수 있을 거라고 해요.
새로운 포인트 제도를 도입한 Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP
Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP(레이스 투 위믹스 챔피언십, 이하 RWC)이 2024 KLPGA(Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association, 한국여자프로골프) 투어를 앞두고 새로운 포인트 제도를 발표했어요. RWC는 KLPGA 투어에 참가한 선수의 성적에 따라 포인트를 부여하고 시즌 종료 후 포인트 순위에 따라 상금을 지급해요. 상위 24명은 왕중왕전 ‘WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP(위믹스 챔피언십)’에 참가할 수 있죠. 지난 2023 시즌에는 각 대회 10위까지 부여하는 ‘대상 배점’, 본선 최종 라운드의 ‘타수 배점’, 연속 상위 10위 진입 또는 컷오프 페널티에 따른 ‘추가 배점’을 합산하는 방식이었는데요. 올 시즌에는 대회 최종 순위에 따라 포인트를 차등 분배하는 ‘순위 배점’에 더해, 1위부터 10위에게는 기존과 같은 ‘대상 배점’을 부여하는 방식이에요. 최종 성적에 대한 포인트를 부여함으로써 한 시즌 동안 꾸준히 좋은 성적을 낸 선수를 선별하기 위한 것이죠. 전체 상금은 150만 WEMIX로 지난 시즌과 동일해요. 이 포인트 제도는 2024 KLPGA의 막을 연 ‘하나금융그룹 싱가포르 여자 오픈’부터 도입됐어요.
PoET의 달라진 리워드 분배 방식
PoET(Proof of Ecological Transaction, 포잇)의 리워드 분배 방식에 변화가 생겼어요. PoET은 생태계에 기여한 이용자와 디앱 개발자인 빌더에게 PMR(Permanent Minting Reward, 블록 보상)의 일부를 나누는 분배 프로그램이에요. 트랜잭션 수에 따라 단계를 나누고, 단계별로 한 블록이 분배받는 WEMIX의 양이 달라지죠. 이전에는 10단계로 구분했지만, 변경 이후에는 최근 86,400 블록에서 발생한 트랜잭션 수를 기준으로 두고 15단계로 구분해요. 이용자와 빌더가 나눠갖는 리워드 비율은 1:1에서 3:1로 바뀌었어요. 더 많은 이용자가 생태계에 참여할 수 있도록 장려하기 위해 이용자의 리워드를 확대했다고 해요.
