Announcing PyBay’s Scholarship Partner Sauce Labs!

One of the best attributes about Python is the openness and inclusiveness of the community, and PyBay is excited that Sauce Labs, a cloud-based platform for the automated testing of web and mobile applications, has generously offered to send two scholarship award recipients to the regional Python Conference in San Francisco this August.

Designed for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines, Sauce Labs helps remove the bottleneck associated with functional testing, allowing development teams to ship better software, faster. One of their goals is to help front-end and full-stack developers learn about the benefits of writing code that is optimized for automated testing. Selenium and Appium are the open source testing frameworks that run on their platform, and tests can be written in any development language, including Python. Read more about their awesome offerings on http://saucelabs.com/

In addition, Sauce Labs is devoted to building an inclusive tech community of diverse and multi-faceted perspectives, which goes hand in hand with PyBay’s mission to enrich diversity in the Python community.

If you can make it to PyBay on August 11 -13, we encourage you to drop by and say ‘hello!’ at Sauce Lab’s table during Saturday’s Job Fair/Tools Exhibit. You can learn more about how to test at the speed of awesome with the world’s largest automated testing cloud for web and mobile apps.

If you’d like to join Sauce Labs in enriching the diversity in the Python ecosystem, find out how you too can offer scholarships to PyBay.

If you’d like to apply for scholarships, the deadline is July 28, 2017.

Please feel free to share the program details and application form with friends, family and colleagues who may be interested.
