FREE virtual and 50% OFF in-person tickets available for those of underrepresented groups

One reason Python is one of the most popular programming languages is that the people behind it embrace diversity and inclusiveness.

As your PyBay2022 conference organizer, we have worked hard to assemble an incredible line-up of speakers from a diverse speaker pool.

28.5% of speakers are women and 35.7% are from underrepresented groups including women, LGBTQIA+, and specially-abled. The 25 speakers coming on stage on September 10 include core Python developers, startup CTOs, architects, senior developers from larger companies, and popular Python book authors. We’re also addressing the topic of accessibility, hearing from a senior developer who has lost his eyesight.

We feel strongly that we need to make this unparalleled learning and networking opportunity available to people from underrepresented groups.

That’s why I’m thrilled to announce that two extraordinary, diversity-focused companies — JetBrains and AKASA — have stepped up to make our and many others’ dreams a reality!

Starting today, people identifying as women, African American, Latino, Native American, and/or LGBTQIA+ can enjoy the virtual PyBay2022 event for FREE. The first 24 people registering as part of these groups can also attend the in-person conference at 50% OFF.
