Need a node? Tencent Cloud supports Q!
We recently shared our learning and insights from the Lisbon Events, particularly the Staking Summit 2022.
One of the hype topics is how to mitigate the risk of centralized Blockchain validators on server hosting and cloud providers. Running a node from home does not scale well, multi-cloud is a feasible next step for professional validators and staking companies.
Therefore, I am delighted to announce that Tencent Cloud will be collaborating with the Q ecosystem to provide support for Q validators.
On a mission to provide the most web 3.0 friendly cloud services and operation support for validators and developers, Tencent Cloud is a leading vendor operating globally in 27 Regions and 70 Availability Zones, backed by Tencent which is a global technology company focused on bringing high-quality and engaging internet services and entertainment to its users.
Tencent Cloud has recognized the value of becoming a validator on the Q Blockchain — using the Tencent Cloud platform — to get a hands-on feeling where web 3.0 and Blockchain node operators struggle and need smart tools and support from their hosting provider.
Edit on 4th January 2023: The Tencent Cloud team informed us that the Winter Offer has reached it’s capacity limit and is closed as of 3rd January 2023.
While we welcome Tencent Cloud in the Q Ecosystem, Tencent Cloud is welcoming Q Blockchain node operators to test their platform. A special Tencent Cloud Blockchain Winter Offer has been put in place where Q validators will benefit from:
- A pool of $500k credits to fund a 3 months trial for all validators accepted

Please note that it is required to be a member of the Q Discord Community and agree to run a Q node in order to support the network.
Need a node to survive the winter conditions? This might be a very handy offer for the upcoming Q Blockchain Validator Incentivized Testnet Program where users are invited to spin up nodes on the Q testnet. By that, earning credibility and track record as a Q Blockchain validator and also mainnet Q Tokens as a reward. Registration is live now (until the 30th of December).
