2024: A Transformative Year for QANplatform
As we wrap up 2024 — similar to our reflections in 2023 — , QANplatform looks back on a transformative year filled with groundbreaking achievements, strategic partnerships, and a strengthened commitment to shaping the future of blockchain technology. From fostering collaborations to unveiling technological innovations, this year has been a remarkable chapter in our journey.
QANplatform Launched the QAN TestNet
One of the most significant milestones this year was the successful QAN TestNet launch. QANplatform has rolled out the world’s first quantum-resistant and Ethereum-compatible blockchain testnet, where developers can code smart contracts in any programming language. The new QAN TestNet is a precursor to the QAN MainNet Beta and signifies a leap in the Web3 ecosystem’s evolution.
Developer Tools Lowering the Entry Barriers in the Web3 Space
QAN’s mission is to lower the entry barriers for developers to enter the Web3 space and build real, helpful use cases on blockchain technology. For this reason, QAN is constantly building and providing valuable developer tools to the community.
QAN lowered the entry barriers for non-developers with QANbuild, the no-code smart contract studio, allowing users to generate smart contracts interactively within minutes.
QANplatform not only allows developers to build smart contracts and web3 solutions in any programming language, but its goal is also to provide Software Development Kits (SDKs) in as many languages as possible. This year QAN released 9 SDKs for developers to interact in their preferred programming language with the QAN TestNet.
First EU Country Implemented QAN’s Quantum-Resistant Technology
QANplatform has announced that its quantum-resistant technology is being used for the first time by an EU country in the public sector. QAN’s technology protects government-owned cybersecurity infrastructure against quantum computing attacks.
QANplatform Became IBM Business Partner
QANplatform proudly announced its partnership with IBM as an official IBM Business Partner. We are introducing QAN Q-Cluster, a tamper-proof and self-auditing system that utilizes AI for log anomaly detection and incorporates quantum-resistant blockchain technology for provable durability and persistence. This collaboration highlights our commitment to providing secure and innovative solutions that address real-world business challenges powered by IBM technology.
NIST Standardized the Post-Quantum Algorithm that QANplatform Selected and Implemented Years Ago
August 13, 2024 marked a significant milestone in cybersecurity as The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) officially released its post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards. This pivotal moment ushers in a new era of data protection, where organizations must transition to quantum-resistant solutions to safeguard their most valuable assets against emerging quantum threats.
QAN not only identified but also implemented the post-quantum algorithm CRYSTALS-Dilithium in its blockchain platform years before NIST standardized it.
QANplatform Became a Member of the Linux Foundation and the Linux Foundation’s Post-Quantum Cryptography Alliance (PQCA)
QANplatform became a member of the Linux Foundation — the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering innovation through open-source technologies. It hosts some of the most impactful technology projects globally (e.g.: Linux, Kubernetes, Node.js.), supporting the development of secure, scalable, and reliable software.
QANplatform became also a member of the Linux Foundation’s Post-Quantum Cryptography Alliance (PQCA), and joined a distinguished group of prominent PQCA members, including IBM, Google, Meta, and Nvidia among others, as one of the first 20 members.
This move signifies QANplatform’s commitment to the development of next-generation cryptographic solutions and aligns its efforts with the global push for robust, post-quantum security standards.
QANplatform Joined Cointelegraph Accelerator as an Infrastructure Partner
Through the partnership with Cointelegraph Accelerator — the venture arm of the leading Web3 media outlet Cointelegraph -, QANplatform provides Cointelegraph Accelerator and its portfolio companies with cutting-edge technology, insights and support, focusing on ensuring that decentralized applications remain secure in the post-quantum era. Furthermore, Johann Polecsak, the Co-Founder and CTO of QANplatform, has been selected as a mentor for the Cointelegraph Accelerator.
