A friendly reminder — KOSHO is a financial and analytics app that utilizes the latest CNN & RNN deep learning algorithm to analyze the past 30 years of market history and capture nearly 400 million data to forecast the financial markets.

Let me break down our new features real quick. Apart from the improved designs, there are 4 major updates that comes with the official version.

1. Longer Timeframe

In the beta-version, which was released on May 29th, 2018, customers were only able to see their forecasts in a 1-week timeframe. However, with this official version, they can view the forecasts of their stocks, indexes, and cryptocurrencies in a period of 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months, and see the expected return rate and the target price for each timeframe. This lends perspective for the customers who need a second opinion about their investing decisions.

2. Events & Comparative Analysis

Another core feature that comes with the official version is the events & comparative analysis. This feature will help our users see how their stocks performed during past financial events. For example, let’s say you are currently investing in Solar Energy stocks, and you have First Solar in your portfolio. Through KOSHO, you can see that on November 20th, 2008 (during the Financial Crisis of 2008), First Solar was down -39.29%. You can also view this number in comparison to First Solar’s top competitors as well as the S&P 500 and NASDAQ. On this specific case, users can see that First Solar was more volatile than both S&P 500 and NASDAQ on 11/20/2008, but less volatile than its competitors SunPower and Telephone & Data Systems. This information is useful because it provides a large overview of how your stocks will perform in the future and especially in the case of another market crisis. Furthermore, you can compare your stocks’ market capitalization, market ranking, listed shares, etc. in real-time for today’s date as well, in relation to other stocks in the same industry.

3. AI Speaker

With the updated version, customers can access the full function of KOSHO (market forecasts and analyses) through the AI Speaker, available in three different languages: Korean, English, and Japanese. If you happen to have your hands full or you just don’t want to stare at a phone screen, you can call KOSHO and ask about market forecasts and stock recommendations. You can say things like “What’s the price of Samsung Electronics?” or “What should I buy today?” and KOSHO will give you the market details.

4. Donation With Good Neighbors

KOSHO signed a partnership agreement with a non-profit organization (NGO), called Good Neighbors, and integrated a “donation” feature within the app. Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development organization in South Korea. Founded in 1991, the organization was granted the nation’s first General Consultative Status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN UNESCO). It currently has 52 domestic and 36 international branches. Good Neighbors carries out various projects that include domestic welfare programs, education developments, international relief support, and several humanitarian works. Our customers can donate their collected coins directly to this organization. These coins are obtained through quizzes, friend referrals, and events. One important thing to consider, however, is that the coins received from our in-app purchase subscriptions are not qualified for the donation feature.

For 10 months, QARA had conducted 10 user tests both domestically and abroad with the previous beta-service. Upon gathering substantial data from these tests, KOSHO’s 2.0 version has brought home new design and features to help improve the customers’ overall user experience.

Last But Not Least

KOSHO will hold a Coin Recommendation Event until May 1st to commemorate the release of the official version. If a user enters a friend’s recommendation code, the friend and the user will both earn up to 1,000 coins. With the coins, users will have the opportunity to purchase deep learning recommended portfolios or exchange them for gift cards!
