On Monday April 23rd, QARAsoft and Seoul Robotics High School exchanged a memorandum of understanding to foster growth in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Under the agreement, both parties will develop extensive research to support young learners with a comprehensive education in big-data, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and block chain technologies.

Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) have gained a special traction with the growing demands of AI. To put simply, ML is a statistical technique used to make informed predictions about the world, while DL is a subset of ML with a more sophisticated system to imitate the workings of the human brain. Although both fall under the category of AI, DL has certainly gained more recognition in the field. Through this initiative, students will learn to utilize the two algorithmic approaches and develop new skill sets to help prepare for the job market.

Machine Learning and Deep Learning fall under Artificial Intelligence

“The idea is to connect talent with opportunity,” said Katie and Luke, the CEOs of QARAsoft. “Too often, we base people on where they’ve graduated or they’ve worked, and not really on what they can do. We would like to change this and offer more opportunities for people who can do the job well.”

In the spirit of cultivating a startup mindset, this joint partnership will equip students to tackle real world challenges with practical applications. Both parties will exchange research materials and hold meetings to develop a better AI infrastructure to help respond to the changing financial market.
