qiibee’s Company Get Together 2020
For the end of September, we were able to unite as a team to enjoy an exciting get-together.
While half of the team was able to meet personally in Zug and Zurich, Switzerland. The other half of the team, the remote members from outside of Europe, unfortunately weren’t able to travel because of Covid-19 restrictions.
Nevertheless, thanks to the awesome advancements of technology, they joined us virtually and were able to follow our quest through the many pictures taken at all the exceptional dinners. We are honored to present you the following highlights from the get together 2020.
Day 1
On the first day of the get together, we assembled in the Uptown Offices, located in Zug (see above), to review and consolidate our performance indicators as a team.
Additionally, we dedicated this time to strengthen the fundamental objectives we wanted to achieve for this last quarter as well as reviewing the awesome achievements completed for Q1 to Q3. Finally team members split up to work on collaborative projects in the beautiful Uptown Office.
In the evening the qiibee team was able to enjoy a night filled with a delicious bbq-esque feast at, The Bite.
The juicy burgers and tender wings, along with the exotic cocktails, made this feel like a team bbq on an exotic island.
Complemented with the warm summer-like vibe that was possible thanks to the amazing individuals at the table.
Day 2
On the second day of our get together, we met at Spaces in Zurich. On that day, three different presentations were displayed by our CDO and co-founder, Gianluca Giancola, as well as our Head of Sales, Francesco Pagano, and last but not least, our Head of Blockchain, Aaron de Miranda Colaco.
The presentations revolved around exciting new tools being integrated into the workflow that will help the team to use documents extremely efficiently and boosting organizational capacities over the roof as well as showed topics that dived deeper into the sales side of the business.
Of course no get together can be complete without a little bit of a new experience. That’s why qiibee organised a beer tour + tasting experience that got everyone hyped for the second night of the company getting together.
But first things first; Did you know that globally, humans consume 50 billion gallons of beer every year? We certainly didn’t!
Fortunately we had one of the best guides from Steinfel’s brewery, to show us around and teach us the fundamentals of beer brewing and as well as the history behind beer itself.
8 different types of beers were tested by the team.
After an extravagant beer tasting experience, that included some of the best beer the qiibee team had tried, an exquisite dinner was prepared by the chef at Steinfel’s brewery.
Day 3
After all the amazing food we had during the first two days, the qiibee team wanted to get in on the action in the kitchen. So we took it upon ourselves to join a cooking masterclass to show off the team’s hidden talents. This was a nice switch up to the week, where the team members were able to participate in an amazing and informative cooking course led by the main chef at ‘Theo Randall’s Italian Kitchen’.
But first, let’s rewind a few hours before the masterclass.
Well, remember how the team united to review the performance indicator and the objectives for the quarter?
Friday was the day that the team was able to readout their individual thoughts and feedback about the topic to the whole company.
We saw this as a necessary step, not only to include everyone’s feedback and to be on the same page but also to create a more well-rounded goal that applies to all departments as well as being harmonious with the qiibee’s vision.
In the evening the team came together to prepare 2 different pasta courses, and a beautiful chicken dish with a vegan alternative for the vegetarian members. Finally finishing it off with a refined tiramisu that was just as elegant as it was delicious.
The finale
The final day of the get2gether — while being a bit saddening — was also a perfect end to a beautiful week, it truly marked a bittersweet moment for all us. On one hand we were all able to come together for a week filled with exciting and joyful moments, on the other hand we all wished it would have lasted longer and if only the remote team could have joined us! We can’t wait for our next get together with the whole qiibee TEAM!
Although COVID restricted our plans, we certainly didn’t give up with the get together! We were still able to successfully come together as a team in order to define important aspects of our company philosophy as well as take the time to learn from each other! Not only did we get a lot of work done as a team, we also had a blast doing it.
We hope all you qiibeans out there enjoyed our little highlight reel of the company get together. We’ll keep you posted with more exciting news! And of course as soon as everything calms down we will be scaling up the get togethers so we can have a fully united team here in Switzerland partaking in various different activities as well as showing off their cooking skills in the next masterclass. Only time will tell, so make sure to stay alert ;).
