Update: for the latest info on how to apply for the Qiskit Advocate Program, check out the application guide here: https://github.com/qiskit-advocate/application-guide

What is the Qiskit Advocate Program?

The Qiskit Advocate Program is a global program that provides support to the individuals who actively work on assisting and contributing to the Qiskit Community.

But what does that actually mean?

Joining this program means joining some of the most active and passionate quantum enthusiasts in the community. In this program, individuals work together on new ideas, projects, events, presentations, open source contributions, and much more.

Why should you apply?

There are four main reasons why you should apply:

1. Recognition from IBM

Qiskit is an open-source project that is free and supported by many people in the community, including IBM. IBM puts a big emphasis on open-source and this program will highlight some of the contributions made by the individuals in the Qiskit Advocate Program.

2. Network with experts and enthusiasts

The Qiskit advocate program is all about collaboration. Whether that’s with members from the Qiskit team or other individuals in the community, joining this program means joining a network of the most passionate people in the quantum computing community.

3. Invitations to events

Qiskit advocates will get invited to attend conferences, hackathons, meetups and some will even be invited to attend our global Qiskit Camps.

4. Access to new Qiskit projects

Qiskit advocates have various passions ranging from games, research, and everything in between. The leads for these projects will welcome the support and help from the individuals in the advocate program.

How should you apply?

1. Go here to find the application form

2. Take the advocate test. This should take approximately 3 hours depending on your knowledge of Qiskit.

3. Submit application by 10/09/2019 12:00 AM EST

Selection Process

The selection process will begin after 10/09/2019. Advocates that score above a 70% on the test and are active community contributors will be accepted to the program. Community contributions can vary depending on the individuals interests but some include: code, tutorials, bug reporting, forum support, blogs, videos and more.

At the end of the day, we want to see everyone join this program and help grow the Qiskit community.
