THE NEXT GENERATION PUBLIC BLOCKCHAIN FOR DECENTRALIZED NETWORK-AS-A-SERVICE (NaaS)

PUBLIC CHAIN DEVELOPMENT — Multidimensional Block Lattice Structure Experience Recap

Our Multidimensional Block Lattice Structure Wallet and Explorer received positive feedback from QLC holders! The QLC holders felt that the Wallet and Explorer was easy to use, has a good UI as well as performed instant transactions. A brief recap of what our developer team has accomplished:

  • Enhanced the QLC Chain Wallet and optimized Proof-of-Work (POW) computing logic.
  • Completed Alpha phase of web Wallet and public chain Explorer
  • Completed internal testing and the first round of community member testing. During this testing period we have achieved:
  1. 101 accounts created and 1,133 transactions from six types of tokens
  2. Confirmed transactions instantly

Our Wallet and Explorer will be open-sourced on Github once we launch our TestNet. Currently, our developer team is working on rewriting the testnet in Golang.

During internal testing, we have reached a TPS of 3,500. Here are the testing conditions we used:

  • Used Ali Cloud Server with GUI interface as the root node.
The root node runs the desktop wallet and logs in the voting account.
  • The server configuration is as follows:
    4 core CPU; 8GB memory; 10Mbps bandwidth
  • Added three Ali Cloud servers to run the node to increase the transmission efficiency of messages
  • Ran desktop wallet on local WIN10 computer for transfer test.
  • Used one Ali Cloud database to store transaction confirmation time.
  • Used one Ali Cloud server to run a node as the observation node which recorded the transaction confirmation time and write to the cloud database.

AMA Questions Answered

Last week we attempted to conduct a live AMA on YouTube. However, due to unforeseeable technical and network issues we were unable to continue the YouTube Live session. We received a lot of questions from the community, so our Core Developers answered most of the questions regarding the TestNet as well as future plans for QLC Chain. Read the full Q&A here!

PARTNERSHIP UPDATE

In June, we announced that we have entered a joint venture with Montnets Group, the leading cloud communication service provider. Our joint venture will focus on providing blockchain-based telecommunication services for hundreds of thousands of enterprise customers. After numerous discussion with the group, we have confirmed the technical details of the first solution we will provide for them; a cross-border SMS and data clearance platform based on the multidimensional Block Lattice Platform, providing the clearance service for the 10 billions valued market. We’re looking forward to creating the industry standards for cross-border clearance platform with Montnets Group.

EVENTS — HotICN2018

Dr. Jerry Chen, Operation Director of China for QLC Chain, was invited to attend the Conference on Hot Topics in Information-centric Networking (HotICN2018) co-hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The IEEE is an international association of electronic technology and information science engineers. It is currently the world’s largest non-profit professional technology society. The conference consisted of two sessions the “Blockchain Technology Industry Forum” and “Future Network Technology and Engineering Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering”

Leading academias and influencers of the blockchain industry participated in the conference and the sharing sessions, the experts highlighted the following items:

  • Blockchain technology has attracted government bodies, enterprises, and academia because of its ability to create a more secure and cost-efficient transmission.
  • Aside from the Finance industry, Blockchain technology can be applied to network communications, especially the “future network” that will provide services to the real economy.
  • Both Blockchain technology and “future network” need to increase the research of the underlying infrastructure of network communications.

Upcoming Events:

The QLC team will be attending Consensus Singapore on September 18–20th. We hope to see some of our community members there! We have some updates that you won’t want to miss.

About QLC Chain
QLC Chain is the next generation public Blockchain for decentralized Network-as-a-Service(NaaS). The QLC Chain and supporting ecosystem will enable any individual, business or organization to leverage their network resources to instantly become a service provider or network operator. The mission is to bring people online through a simpler, more pleasant, and more secure way with full transparency.

It deploys a multidimensional Block Lattice architecture and uses virtual machines (VM) to manage and support integrated Smart Contract functionality. Additionally, QLC Chain utilizes dual consensus: Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) and Shannon Consensus, which is a novel consensus developed by the QLC Chain team. Through the use of this dual consensus protocol and multidimensional Block Lattice architecture, QLC Chain is able to perform a high number of transactions per second (TPS), provide massive scalability and an inherently decentralized environment for NaaS related applications (dApp).
