Player Assembly

Hello everyone,

First and foremost, the Qleek team wishes you happy holidays and the very best for 2016. We are working hard this holidays season to start shipping Qleeks everywhere in the world. This update will focus on the assembly of the packs our backers will be receiving very soon.

We have been testing Qleeks thoroughly at home and at Bolt these last few weeks. Pierre has done an amazing job refining and debugging the code of the player. And we are glad to let you know that the version we are testing internally is very close to the standards of quality of the final release. We have even provided the music for the Bolt Christmas party this year.

In the meantime, Johanna has been assembling Qleeks, preparing more than 5000 Qleeks for our backers. As you can see in the video that each Qleek is tested individually to check if the chip works properly and that there are no visual defects on the assembled unit.

Also and as mentioned in the previous update, we have printed the very first Qleek using our shiny brand new UV printer. We have spent a lot of time tweaking the print quality to make your custom covers look perfect on the wood grain of your Qleeks.

Last but not least, here is a short video presenting the assembly of the starter pack that includes a Qleek player and 6 custom Qleeks. The whole process is done after testing the player and the print quality of each Qleek. We have worked on creating a packaging that is environmentally friendly without any plastic parts and that is used for shipping without an additional box.

Here it is. Our Qleek assembly update. We are pretty close to start shipping. We’ll contact our backers soon to start the customisation of their Qleeks and finalize their orders. In the meantime, we wish you a happy new year’s eve and hope you are enjoying the holidays with your loved ones.
