QoWatt x holoride, a partnership for the future of mobility
From the energy we consume, autonomous driving, the increasing use of mobility as a service, to the advent of a new vision of entertainment, the automotive industry is set to undergo major changes over the next decade, and this, like almost all industries, has great advantages that can be drawn from the main features of blockchain.
This is one of the visions we support at QoWatt, to revolutionize the way we finance, own, and use the energy infrastructure that will serve the mobility of tomorrow.
Today, we are delighted to announce our strategic collaboration with holoride, which brings a new definition to in-car entertainment rooted in the metaverse, born at Audi before spinning out and going independent. Together, we want to push the adoption of our respective solutions, both in Web3 and real life, a collaboration to introduce blockchain, with ever more transparency and proper use cases in the daily lives of users.
holoride’s mission is to bring entertainment to transportation with a proprietary technology that synchronizes the vehicle’s movements with the virtual world unfolding before the user’s eyes via a VR headset. In a nutshell, the content a passenger experiences is in sync with the motion of the vehicle. This allows for an immersive in-car experience, a new form of entertainment while on the go, and an end to dull rides — forever.
With a partner like Audi that has integrated holoride in a wide range of their series vehicles and whose fleet is gradually migrating to electric vehicles, this partnership has all the cards in hand to leverage QoWatt’s potential, especially with the arrival of our future project, GenX.

This partnership will not only focus on long-term objectives, but must also become beneficial for the attractiveness of Gen-2. That is why several short and medium term benefits will be given to its holders.
$RIDE <> $QWT
As part of this partnership, an exchange of our respective tokens will take place in order to link both communities and bring new incentives to the use of our solutions. For these purposes, about 75,000 dollars in $RIDE and $QWT will be exchanged, which represents 1.5 millon $RIDE to be distributed to the QoWatt community.
RIDE yield
1 million $RIDE will be allocated as additional returns for all Gen-2 stakers, distributed on a daily basis similar to the $QWT rewards. The total $RIDE will be distributed equally to each tier over the life of the Gen-2 mint, initially defined as 240 days. That is, 200,000 $RIDE distributed to each NFTs tier over the entire life of the mint, i.e 833.33 $RIDE per tier per day, capped at the following daily amount:
- Bronze Gen-2 : up to 1 RIDE / day / Bronze
- Argent Gen-2 : up to 3 RIDE / day / Argent
- Or Gen-2 : up to 9 RIDE / day / Or
- Platine Gen-2 : up to 27 RIDE / day / Platine
- Diamant Gen-2 : up to 81 RIDE / day / Diamant
This brings an additional up to 6.8% APR to the price of each NFTs tier at today’s $RIDE/$QWT exchange rate. The total amount of $RIDE distributed by NFTs will decrease over time depending on the number of NFTs minted according to this calculation, using a Gen-2 Bronze as an example:
833.33 / (Number of Bronze NFTs minted * Bronze Max RIDE Daily Allocation)
Following this model as long as the number of Bronze NFT minted does not exceed 833, the allocation will remain at 1 RIDE per Bronze NFT per day.
In order to calculate the base APR, this calculation is used :
(365 * NFT Tier Daily Max Rewards*Price of $RIDE) / (Price of $QWT*Price in $QWT of NFT Tier)*100
This base APR is thus variable since it depends on the relative prices of the two tokens.
This distribution will start some time after the launch of the dApp V2. The remaining amount will be used for future initiatives, to continue to make this partnership beneficial between the two companies.
$QWT Rewards
As for the $QWT, teams are currently exploring several possibilities to allow holoride to use these tokens as incentives in their various experiences. Whether it be as an Airdrop or staking reward for their NFTs holders, or directly as rewards in their Ride & Play & Earn models. No possibility is excluded for the moment, and they could have many other uses.
Cloudbreakers Raffles <> Gen-2 DAO NFT
Having both ecosystems where NFTs represent important mechanisms of our economies, it is also essential for us that the communities discover the benefits they offer. As such, an exchange of Gen-2 DAO NFTs for Cloudbreakers is planned.
Many ideas about the distribution of Cloudbreakers are currently under study, especially around our future gamification system on our dApp V2. For the distribution of the Gen-2 DAO NFTs, it is still under consideration.
Retrofit Pack <> GenX
Another fundamental component of this partnership is the promotion of our real-life products. As part of its rollout in France during 2023, holoride will offer up to 11 retrofit packs for Gen-2 stakers.
This pack is composed of the holoride retrofit solution, a smartspeaker-sized device that is mounted to the windshield and allows for immersive in-car experiences — regardless of the model, make, or year of the vehicle. Also included is the HTC VIVE Flow VR headset, an 8BitDo Pro 2 gamepad, and a three-month trial subscription to the holoride platform. We will get back to you in due course with the details of this distribution.
Finally, in order to make these products more accessible, the wallets having minted Gen-2, will be offered a discount of 50€ for the holoride retrofit pack during the last months of the Gen-2 mint (fall 2023). QoWatt will offer a discount on the future GenX cards product to anyone who buys a holoride product.
QoWatt VR cockpit
holoride foresees in its VR application, the possibility to include, whether for manufacturers or brands, customized VR hubs. QoWatt will therefore develop its own internal VR Cockpit in order to promote the brand and allow all QoWatters to feel at home, even with a VR helmet on their head.
Long term project
Beyond the short and medium term benefits, QoWatt and holoride have developed a vision, a vision that breaks down the barrier between the reality and virtual reality of charging infrastructures. The partnership will include the location of charging stations in the holoride gaming experience, allowing its GPS data to be shared directly with the vehicles. Added to this, is the possibility of paying EV car charges in $RIDE tokens.
An idea that will only reveal its full potential when our products are widely implemented, but would be exemplary of all the benefits of the multiverse that Beniamin Mincu wishes to develop, virtual worlds at the service of reality.
With this being at the conceptual stage, we can’t tell you more for now, but we are sure that our partnership will bring great ideas to push the adoption of MultiversX beyond all borders.
