QoWatt’s recap for 2022
2022 was the year of our birth and the beginning of our evolution, let’s try to make a summary of all the major milestones we’ve encountered during this year. If you want to catch up with all the important information about the project, you are in the right place!
January :
January marked the beginning of our Web3 adventure with the Elrond/MultiversX ecosystem with the launch of the websites QoWatt.com, Qowatt.network and dapp.qowatt.network
February :
This month began with the construction of the charging stations by our partners at e-Totem. Also, the $QWT token became the second ranked ESDT in the Elrond/MultiversX ecosystem in terms of number of holders, a title that it still held today.
March :
March was marked with the unveiling of the “Founder” campaign with the mint of our first generation of DAO NFTs, the Gen-0, in partnership with Symbiosis NFT. This was also coupled with the creation of the QoWatt Coin, allowing investors to receive a boosted distribution of the staking rewards pool.

Then, the symbolic milestone of $10 million USD funds raised was achieved, followed shortly by our Twitter account reaching 40k followers.
Finally, the second DAO vote was held to elect the investors’ favorite design for our charging stations that you can see on our charging stations today. The Gen-0 NFT series was also mintable at the very end of the month.
April :
In April, the presale funding phases were sold out on April 18th and the Founders Campaign started, investors who minted their Gen-0 DAO NFTs received 6 million $QWT as a bonus and 8000 QoWatt Coins were also airdropped to our early adopters.
At this time, the EV Car NFTs that were airdropped to the minters of the Gen-0 collection were revealed, developed within the framework of our partnership with Symbiosis NFT as well as a new partnership with Krogan, which also allowed for the airdrop of a QoWatt spaceship NFT.
Eventually, QoWatt became an official partner to the Poitiers Basketball Team and their “Official Charging Point Operator”. Still within the month of April, the $QWT token was listed on JEXchange, with listing metrics and trading analytics made available through e-Compass.
May :
Another busy month in May, QoWatt became ZoidPay Shopping Pool Owners and announced our partnership with them for the Gen-1 NFT collection.
Also, the first two charging station sites were announced for the Poitiers Airport location, this also marked the beginning of the construction and electrical network deployment work.
The milestone of 200 million $QWT used to mint DAO NFTs was exceeded and 14 million $QWT was burned to compensate for the creation of the QoWatt Coin supply. The end of Gen-0 mint arrived, followed by the airdrop of the EV Cars and QoWatt spaceships, as well as the beginning of the Founders Staking Program.
June :
This month saw the beginning of the Gen-1 mint and our partnership with ZoidPay, but also with Bunnyverse, who facilitated the airdrop of a mini EV car to all DAO NFT holders. This SFT would accompany the Bunnies in their own metaverse where QoWatt charging terminals and charge station bunnies skins could also be found.
QoWatt was also a partner of the @JoinThePICS event in French Polynesia, where the team attended for this auspicious occasion.
Finally, the rebranding of our twitter account @QoWatt_Token to @QoWattEcosystem took place and the fully assembled terminals were showcased for the first time, including the final design voted for by the DAO vote taken earlier in the year.
July :
In July, QoWatt was awarded the UbiMobility-EV prize, a unique government EV accelerator program. Our CEO, Hugo Manteau was then interviewed by AutoPlus, the biggest French automotive magazine in circulation.
Then, Gen-1 NFT staking commenced and we announced the integration of (Symbiosis) EV Cars and QoWatt branding within the Cyberpunk City metaverse, furthermore to this, the airdrop of 131,000 $CYBER tokens was distributed to our EV Car holders.
August :
A lot of exciting news continued into August, the signing of the third station at Poitiers Demi-Lune district was communicated to our community, as well as the end of works for the Poitiers Airport stations and their operational deployment, which triggered a 6.5 million $QWT token burn.
This was followed by the announcement of two new partnerships. One with Gireve, allowing the integration of QoWatt’s charging terminals with more than 180 mobility operators. This included one of the biggest and most well-known, ChargeMap. The second, with VictoriaLand, who will provide a decentralized audit to verify that QoWatt will use at least 40% green energy for our charging station network, something that is almost at 100% today.
A third DAO vote was also organized in order to democratically vote for the increase of the QoWatt Coin supply. This was voted by the community. To finish the month, we saw the listing of the $QWT token on the Maiar DEX, what a month August was!
September :
In September, the signing of a fourth station was announced in the city of Metz, at one of the biggest leisure centres in France.
The $QWT token was added to Coin Market Cap, CoinGecko, TrustWallet, Maiar and is now also officially part of the Metabonding program.
In the meantime, our CEO, Hugo Manteau and our Business Development Director, Audrey Pereira, were respectively in Mexico and the USA in order to enrich and diversify QoWatt’s international relations.
October :
This fall, QoWatt became officially compatible with ChargeMap and Freshmile RFID Cards, two of the biggest e-Mobility providers in Europe. QoWatt was also approved by the Binance Legal Team and authorized to open an institutional account.
In addition, the Core Team traveled to Guyana to present QoWatt’s solutions to different key players, notably at the European Space Base in Kourou.
November :
In November, the Core Team participated in Elrond’s (MultiversX) XDay notably winning the Best Real World Applicable Project award! As a bonus, the presence of a beautiful Hyundai in QoWatt’s trademark colors held pride of place in the grounds of the Palais Brongniart.
Also, as a proactive response to the recent events regarding FTX, our CEO presented the “proof of funds” for the company in order to maintain full transparency with our investors.
December :
Finally, in this last month of 2022, a new social media format was presented to allow our users to follow the progress of our new and upcoming charging stations through the Twitter account of our CTO, Anthony Manteau.
Two new site signatures were also announced for the city of Troyes, and the update of our roadmap for 2023 was also released.
To finish the year in style, the new branding and slogan for QoWatt was revealed through a tailored cinematic trailer created entirely by our Artistic Director, Alexandre Feyfant.
