Quadrant protocol is supported by an excellent team of blockchain developers. The experience and focus they bring to the project is one of the key advantages that we believe will make Quadrant a success. In this post, we introduce you to three of our engineers: Barkha Jasani, Sharique Azam, and Roger Ganga.

Head of Research and Technical Development - Barkha Jasani

Barkha Jasani

Barkha Jasani is DataStreamX’s Head of Research & Technical Development. She is a seasoned team member who has been executing on our roadmaps and successful proof of concepts, as well led the successful commercialization of the DataStreamX platform. She is now in charge of commercializing the technology, meeting the needs of our partners, ultimately is transforming our vision for Quadrant Protocol into reality. Barkha is one of the core members of our team, working closely with Mike and DataStreamX since its launch in 2014.

Barkha is currently focused on architecting our decentralized and scalable solution to provide data authenticity and integrity in our transaction platform. This includes core development of our blockchain ecosystem. Areas she is working on include set-up, configuration, and testing of our Testnet and Mainnet. She is also in charge of building out Quadrant’s stamping protocol and smart contract development. Additionally, she oversees producer consumer clients, coordinating the team’s efforts on this front.

Barkha is highly familiar with dApp architecture, having studied it specifically and worked on several projects related to the field. She has led the successful implementation of several ERC 20 tokens, architecting smart contracts to underlie these projects.

Her impressive record of achievements includes the development of an enterprise-quality healthcare solution that is currently used by nearly a dozen healthcare facilities in the US. This mission-critical system was needed acutely and has helped improve the lives of countless patients across the country. Separately, an online government portal she developed for the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, in India, led to her being awarded the National Award for e-Governance 2012–2013 (Gold Award).

Previously, Barkha held senior roles at Silver Touch Technologies, a major developer of software platforms and applications. In this role, she was instrumental in architecting solutions, programming modules, and communicating with clients, earning a reputation for multi-skilled professionalism and the ability to successfully juggle multiple projects.

Barkha is passionate about her work on Quadrant Protocol, which she hopes will help to develop a fluid and trusted global data economy. “Big Data is the buzzword, but the value of all that data isn’t in its vastness or volume,” she says. “It’s in the insight that can be derived from it. So what we all work for is actionable, or insightful data,” she says.

Big Data & Blockchain Engineer - Sharique Azam

Sharique Azam

Sharique leads the core development of Quadrant’s private blockchain and distributed applications. Sharique plays a key role in implementing our roadmap developing the Data Producer and Data Consumer Clients, as well as the Anchoring Client. In his work at DataStreamX, he was responsible for creating the systems that handle of millions of data records per day, making sure the data keeps flowing to and from the system. With Quadrant Protocol, he is developing our Clients to be able to handle these workloads, ensuring the next generation of data transaction run efficiently on the protocol. His experience in Smart Contracts and Big Data Processing are vital to the success and real-world implementation of Quadrant Protocol.

Sharique is a skillful engineer with three years’ experience working at DataStreamX. In this role, he successfully developed a variety of SDKs and APIs that allow major users to consume data efficiently. Sharique is also experienced in building robust pipelines and performing data transformations, text mining, and text analysis. He has created smart contract-based clients both for data stamping to prove the authenticity and provenance of that data, and for verification of the stamped data itself. He also created a web based “Explorer” for Quadrant Protocol’s testnet, and is currently working on data smart contracts designed to make the experience of buying and selling data in Quadrant Protocol seamless.

Sharique has a strong track record of success in his field outside of Quadrant as well. In 2014, he won Second Prize at National University of Singapore’s iCreate Mobility Challenge and 3rd prize in Tech in Asia’s Hackathon. Sharique is a passionate, hard-working and efficient engineer –a truly valuable member of the team. We are confident that his experience and professionalism will continue to contribute to sustainable solutions using to blockchain to solve the problem of data authenticity and integrity.

Data Scientist & Solidity Engineer - Roger Ganga

Roger Ganga

As our lead Data Scientist and Solidity Engineer, Roger brings broad experience to Quadrant Protocol, both as a data scientist and engineer. He combines these skills with specific expertise in blockchain development. At Quadrant, Roger is responsible for the the implementation of data smart contracts and the AI / MircoService layer that will power the adoption of the protocol.

Roger joined DataStreamX in 2017. At DataStreamX, he successfully deployed AI and Machine Learning projects for the company’s data lake. He also developed blockchain and smart contract dApps across the DataStreamX stack. We are confident he will bring his deep, unique experience to bear in the same way as he now focuses on achieving Quadrant’s milestones. Together with Barkha and Sharique, we are confident in his ability to deliver a best-in-class product.

Roger has done significant work that has garnered the attention of the developer community. Among his recent accomplishments was simulation of the English Premier League in 2017 to determine the probability of each team winning. Additionally, he performed a successful market-basket analysis for a retail store to find products complementary to its offerings. Roger is a dedicated professional focused in providing actionable insights to business problems using real world data. His enthusiasm for learning new concepts, architecting new solutions, and successfully implementing them is a palpable benefit for the entire Quadrant team.

Roger studied Computer Science and holds a Master Degree in Business Analytics from the Singapore Management University.
