QualiCal’s Role in Tata Steel’s Lime Production Journey
The collaboration between Tata Steel (formerly known as Bhushan Steel Ltd) and QualiCal began in 2008, marking the start of a significant partnership. Entrusted with the supply and commissioning of 4 x 300tpd Synthesis Lime Kilns, QualiCal stepped into a role that would see it become a pivotal part of Tata Steel’s production process. This initial success led to further confidence, culminating in an order for 2 x 600tpd Synthesis kilns in January 2013, with Kiln Nr 5 commissioned in March 2016.
Achieving New Heights with Kiln Nr 5
The commissioning of Kiln Nr 5 was a testament to QualiCal’s commitment to delivering state-of-the-art lime kiln technology, tailored to meet the high standards of efficiency, sustainability, and performance required by Tata Steel. This kiln not only met but exceeded expectations, setting new benchmarks in the industry.
Recognition of Excellence: The Final Acceptance Certificate
The transition of the plant’s ownership to Tata Steel brought with it new challenges and opportunities for demonstration of QualiCal’s technology and service excellence. In February 2024, QualiCal was awarded the “Final Acceptance Certificate” for Kiln Nr 5, a formal recognition of the kiln’s performance and reliability.
