The European Lime Association (EULA) has identified several key themes and objectives in its Vision 2050, which outlines a roadmap for the European lime industry to become sustainable and carbon-neutral by mid-century. Among these themes are energy efficiency, carbon capture and utilization, circular economy, and sustainable supply chain management.

Cal.DO heat recovery system

The Synthesis Lime Kiln incorporates a heat recovery system that recovers waste heat from the kiln and uses it to preheat the combustion air, resulting in significant energy savings.

Industry 4.0 analysis algorithms based on MOSAICO workspace and iDO digital operators’ skills

The Synthesis Lime Kiln uses advanced analysis algorithms that are based on QualiCal’s MOSAICO workspace and the skills of its iDO digital operators. These algorithms optimize the kiln’s performance and energy efficiency in real-time, based on data from sensors and other inputs.
