• using fine lime as raw material (with grain sizes between 2mm and 10mm) with chemical/physical characteristics not suitable for traditional lime burning systems.

NANO is a revolutionary lime reactor designed to create networks of small, interconnected production facilities capable of creating, guaranteeing and disseminating an effective and more sustainable distributed nano-production network also in the lime industry.

NANO-lime distributed production technologies

Compared to the state of the art, the NANO lime reactor contains absolutely innovative elements:

• The ability to successfully decarbonate limestones with grain sizes between 2 and 10 mm, which cannot be calcined with any of the above mentioned traditional ovens.
• The ability to produce an extremely pure finished product. The use of clean, indirect energy eliminates any risk of contamination of the finished product, making it ideal for use in sectors where the chemical and physical quality standards required are higher (i.e. chemical industry and water purification).
• The reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the environment thanks to the use of clean and renewable energy instead of common fossil fuels;

Solar NANO

is using concentrated solar energy as process heat for the thermal decomposition of limestone to produce lime in order to help reduce CO2 emissions in the lime industry.
