JSW Steel Ltd, a leading integrated steel company in India, has been making significant strides in the industry for over three decades. With a production capacity of 28.5 MTPA in India and the USA, the company has grown from a single manufacturing unit to an industry leader. At the heart of this growth is the Vijayanagar manufacturing unit in Karnataka, which boasts the largest single-location steel-producing facility in India, with a capacity of 18 MTPA.
Recently, JSW Steel Ltd ordered a new lime kiln, Kiln Nr 17, from QualiCal International Srl, Italy, for their Vijayanagar Works. Lime is essential for steelmaking, and JSW Steel Ltd Vijayanagar Plant has the largest single-location captive lime kilns in India. This latest order is a testament to the trust that JSW Steel Ltd has placed in QualiCal International Srl.
Arun Barad, QualiCal India MD, recently visited the site to inspect the progress of the civil work execution.
The project is progressing as per schedule, with the development of QualiCal’s detailed engineering as well as equipment procurement and manufacturing.
