If your fearless, risqué, or humorous off-beat stories have trouble fitting into other publications, consider writing for Quality Frivolity. And help spread the word, too, because QF needs followers.
Literary publications regularly reject free-wheeling comedic, absurdist, and silly writing styles. Many Medium publications also tend to shy away from less-than-serious stories. The good news is that you may find a home here at QF.
Quality Frivolity is the place for humorous flash fiction, poetry, standup bits, surrealism, absurdity, silliness —even smutty or irreverent stories if they’re funny. Political satire is expressly excluded, however, because too much of what goes on in politics is already self-parody. Creativity is the key for this publication.
Note: If your story is of a serious nature, it will be rejected. There are plenty of publications for serious works. Soul-searching articles, personal anecdotes, and self-awareness epiphanies will be rejected, too.
Your story doesn’t have to be slapstick. The only rule is that your must be well-written, it must be more creative than derivative, and it must feature at least…
