1. The number of articles
There is no doubt that the more stories you have, the more you will read and earn. If you have 100 stories, making a few hundred dollars a month is generally no problem. If you have 300 stories, it shouldn’t be hard to make $1,000 a month.

The more engaging your articles are written, the more readers and followers you will get.Conversely, if your article has a lot of grammatical errors and is obscure and difficult to understand, then there will be very few people reading it, and at the same time, there will be very little reading time, and someone will walk away at a glance, which will not bring you any income.
A good story must be interesting and engaging. A good article allows readers to gain knowledge and insight, and it is useful.

Different types of articles and stories have different numbers of readers. For example, love, self-improvement, tech news, sports, health are all very hot topics, and they have a large number of readers.
My second account started to write about cooking, and very few people read it. Readers here seem to have little interest in cooking.
In addition, in any case, you must write in the field you are familiar with. Although there are many people who like to read love stories, you have no experience in love at all, and the articles you write are also not popular.
6. Interaction with other writers and readers
Especially in the beginning, interacting with other writers is the best way to get yourself more exposure.
You comment below another writer’s article, and on the one hand that writer will see, and possibly read, your story. On the other hand, his readers are also very likely to read your story.
If readers respond to your article, be sure to answer their questions and applaud them. If possible, you can click on their avatars to read their articles, applaud and respond.
7. Join the publication
Submitting your story to a publication is a good suggestion, the story submitted to the publication is still yours, it still appears on your profile, and the money it makes is still yours. But it will increase your reading and make you more money.
Research the publications you want to contribute to, understand what kind of stories they need, and think about whether it matches your style and areas of expertise.
Don’t blame editors for being utilitarian, be prepared to be rejected. You’re just an unknown author, for whom it’s better to find some established author than to take the risk. You can read the editor’s article, respond to him, give him a high five, and gradually build your trust.
For beginners, it is not necessary to find a big publication, the competition is fierce, and some small platforms will easily give you more opportunities to publish.
