Software testing is a profession, that significantly reduces the amount of disappointments experienced in everyday life for millions of people. Sometimes even testing goes wrong and in those rare cases the grains are separated from the chaff. These failures upset customers and employees, who both get equally angry.

Asking customers to pay top dollar for a product — especially if they aren’t experiencing the value to make it worth it — can be a stretch and quickly wear thin with decision-makers. It’s more important to focus on why these customers are leaving you.

Are they a bad fit for your business? are you doing something that’s pushing them away? Once you can figure out the cause, you’ll know which customers you should work to keep, and which ones are going to leave your business anyways. Sometimes you are losing customers at first, but replacing them with new ones who will pay more for your product or service.

Similar to a “bad fit” customer, some people, customers or employees, may not align with your brand values.

For example, if you don’t feel rewarded for your work you may end up being disengaged. If you don’t understand the organizations values or goals, you may lose motivation. Knowing what makes employees angry or upset is the first step to boosting their morale and satisfaction.

Research says that employees who feel like their professional growth and careers have stagnated are 12 times more likely to quit their jobs. Micromanagement, workplace stress, bad management and other factors responsible for job dissatisfaction are all linked to higher turnover rates.

The impact of low job satisfaction goes beyond high turnover rates. If employee expectations are not met, they may lack the motivation needed to reach peak performance and excel in their roles. Work gets done but achievements remain unlocked. Research shows only 49 percent of employees are satisfied with their jobs.

The author wishes to help the development environment hold the weather and reduce the number of disappointments experienced by millions of people in everyday life.
