Following by the introduction to Blockchain 101 presented by Matthew Warner, Journalist, Chain-Finance, Hans Lombardo, Quanta’s Strategic Advisor, gave a presentation about Quanta Lottery system. The technology of Quanta drew huge attention from the audience, especially its transparency, fair RNG system and cost effectiveness realized by Blockchain. Also we received positive feedbacks to its regulated and locally compliant business model.
Panel discussion heated up
After two case studies for Blockchain business models including Quanta and FirstBlood, there was a panel discussion on “What will be the impact of Blockchain on the Gambling Industry?” Here we had really exciting discussions about how to utilize the latest technology in heavy regulated Gaming and Gambling industries. People are interested in Blockchain technology but at the same time the entire industry has been built up with huge legacy system and it’s not easy to change direction just like a jumbo jet. The passionate panelists, including Adam Vaziri, director of Diacle, emphasized the importance of following the existing regulations and being compliant. By doing so, Blockchain would be definitely a disruptive innovation which would benefit all the stakeholders such as regulators, operators and end users. It was also suggested that who reacted late to this wave would be simply taken over by new comers.
The two days finished with excitement and expectations
Over the two days, this Blockchain and Gaming seminar was one of the most popular events at ICE and the booth was packed with standing people who could not get a seat. This excitement shows that Blockchain technology is getting more and more attention in the Gaming industry.
