Quantious team members take on SXSW!

On March 9th and 10th, 2024, Lisa and Rosa took on SXSW! Take a dive into their experience in photos, plus insights on their experiences!

Lisa’s SXSW experience:

“Believe it or not — after over two decades in tech — this was my first SXSW. And it was everything I had anticipated it would be, and more. The energy and excitement, the cutting edge tech, the long lines, the FOMO, sprinkled with requisite controversy.

My biggest takeaway? No huge surprise — AI is top of mind. You could see it across the Edu sessions, the Psychedelic tracks, Creative/Design, Video/Film, Music, and of course XR and Interactive… it touches everything. The threat of AI drove a passionate group of graphic designers out into the streets to protest, and there were some talks pushing for the need for guardrails- but for the most part AI was being embraced. Especially by the government agencies there to recruit top tech talent (another point of controversy).

Will I go back next year? My answer has to be yes. With so much happening in the tech space, being a remote company, and so many fascinating people to meet in one place, tapping into “Everything, In Austin, All at Once” is just too much to miss out on.”

Rosa’s SXSW experience:

“As an Austinite, I’ve enjoyed attending the SXSW Music Festival over the years, but 2024 was my first opportunity to experience the SXSW Interactive Conference.

The conference was just as amazing as the music portion but with an intellectual twist! The people that attended the sessions and the sessions themselves were inspiring. In the end, I was sad to say goodbye to extraordinary new friends but left with long-lasting, genuine connections as well as a glimpse into what the future will look like with new creative technologies that will soon be at the forefront of our workplaces.”
