The UK’s Quantum Computer

In 2020 the UK confirmed details of the country’s first commercial quantum computer. This is being build in Abingdon, near Oxford, and once complete will be made available to companies who want to explore the potential of quantum computing on their businesses.
The project involves a number organizations working in partnership. We are delighted that representatives of two of these — Rigetti and Standard Chartered Bank — will join us at this event.
Marco Paini will give us the background to this Innovate UK project and its aims.
Alexei Kondratyev will then talk through some of the aspirations in the Financial Services space, and in particular the potential applications of Quantum Machine Learning.
This will be followed by the usual Q&A.
