[CoinDesk] UDC Reporter’s Remarks ‘The QuarkChain announcement is the most interesting’
At the end of last month, at the 4th Upbit Developer Conference (UDC) held by Dunamu, the operator of the well-known Korean digital currency exchange Upbit. Dr. Zhou, the founder of QuarkChain, gave a keynote speech on the topic of “Concentrated Liquidity for Multiple Pooled Assets” at the conference, which attracted a lot of attention. Two Coindesk reporters responsible for covering the UDC conference wrote articles about QuarkChain’s speech, and one of them made a comment on the speech. Said the speech “fits the theme and is likable”.
The concept of centralized liquidity refers to the reduction of the existing price range from 0 to unlimited in the virtual currency trading pair group to the price range that is frequently traded.
Previously, because liquidity fell short of the price range that a particular project would not actually reach, it often happened that resources were allocated inefficiently. As a result, the liquidity provider (LP) cannot obtain sufficient handling fees, and the transaction slippage has also become higher.
The initial use of centralized liquidity was the third edition of the decentralized exchange “Uniswap”.
Dr. Zhou said in his speech, “Due to the concentrated liquidity, the capital efficiency of Uniswap V3 has increased by two thousand times compared with the Uniswap V2, and only three months later, the funds deposited by Uniswap users have reached 2.5 billion 8 Ten million dollars”.
However, the centralized liquidity of Uniswap V3 only applies to paired assets. As an alternative, Quarkchain proposed the concept of Concentrated Liquidity for Multiple Pooled Assets.
The reporter mentioned in the report that she personally enjoyed QuarkChain’s speech at the conference this time. QuarkChain introduced the concept of “centralized liquidity”, and the content is more in line with the theme of the developer conference.
