How to Get Test QKC (tQKC) Tutorial

Thanks for everyone’s interest on QuarkChain’s Game of DeFi Campaign! Details: click here. As you know, all our events for this Game of DeFi Campaign will be based on QuarkChain’s Devnet: http://devnet.quarkchain.io/. Participants need to use Test QKC (tQKC for short) to participate in the events. In this article, we will introduce you to how to get tQKC.

QuarkChain provides two official ways to get tQKC：

1. Get it free at Devent.
2. Stake QKC and get equivalent tQKC at QPocket.

Prerequisites:

1. You need to have a QuarkChain Mainnet address. If you do not have one yet, please visit https://www.qpocket.io/ and download QPocket to create one (recommended, please use iOS TestFlight version for iOS users). Or you can visit QuarkChain Mainnet at: https://mainnet.quarkchain.io/contract to get one (need to use Chrome and install MetaMask or QPocket extensions).
2. Once you get a QuarkChain Mainnet address, please visit http://devnet.quarkchain.io/contract at your wallet. This step is to make sure your address at Devnet is the same as the Mainnet.

a. For iOS version of QPocket, tap “Discover” and input http://devnet.quarkchain.io/contract.

b. For Android version of QPocket, tap “DApp” and input http://devnet.quarkchain.io/contract.

c. For web browser users, please use Chrome and install MetaMask or QPocket extensions.

Method 1: Get tQKC free.

Visit http://devnet.quarkchain.io and click Faucet at the web browser bar, and then click the “Request” button there.

You can only get 1 tQKC for each time you request. You can request as many times as you want, but the speed is slow due to the network limitation.

Method 2: Lock QKC and get equivalent tQKC at QPocket.

Step 1: Download/upgrade your QPocket to the newest version at https://www.qpocket.io/.

Note: iOS users need to install the iOS TestFlight version instead of the APP Store.

Step 2: Stake QKC at “Lockdrop” Tool in QPocket

1. For Android user, visit QPocket and tap “DApp”, you will find “Lockdrop” tool there:

2. For iOS user, visit QPocket and tap “Discover”, and then click “Redeem devnet tokens”:

Step 3: Stake QKC to get equivalent tQKC

At the Lockdrop main page, input the amount of QKC you want to stake, and then click the “STAKE” button.

On the next page, confirm the amount and then submit. After you submit, the page will show you the current confirming block. You need to wait 10 block confirmation time, which is about 120 seconds. Please pay your patience and wait, once the transaction is succeeded, the page will be updated.

Once the campaign ends (8/21 5:59 pm PST), you can click the “Withdraw” button here and take your staked mainnet QKC back.

Notes:

• tQKC is only used for Game of DeFi Campaign and used for QuarkChain Devnet. It doesn’t have real currency value.
• After our campaign closes on 8/21 5:59 pm (PST), you can withdraw all your staked QKC in the smart contract.
• Please make sure your tQKC address is the same with your mainnet QKC address. This is important because we will send rewards to your mainnet QKC address.
• The final interpretation right of this event belongs to QuarkChain officials.
