QuarkChain 2019 Achievement Summary
Dear QuarkChain Community Members,
Thank you for supporting QuarkChain over the past year. 2019 was a busy year for us, and we finished many achievements under the help of the community members. In 2020, we will continue to work hard to build the QuarkChain ecosystem universe.
2019/03 QuarkChain Guardian Plan
QuarkChain Guardian Plan was released on March 18, 2019. Guardian Plan was launched to protect all community members’ interest and guarantee the security of Mainnet with enough hash power. A flexible, high-efficiency, and popular QuarkChain ecosystem universe is expected to blossom earlier with the support and co-construction from the community, which is the key factor to the success of a blockchain project.
2019/04 QuarkChain Mainnet Singularity V1.0
A real platform system should be more efficient and compatible with more functions. With the addition of new features, the whole system will benefit and reach a consensus with a broader range of people. Moreover, it should have higher scalability so that when it is applied, it can continue expanding and accommodate newly developed techniques. At present, there is no such platform in the whole industry. QuarkChain develops a set of solutions based on insights and reflections which affect the evolution of the industry.
2019–05 New York Consensus 2019 Event
May 14, QuarkChain, together with Harmony and ThunderCore held an event about sharding blockchain technology. ETH 2.0, Kadena, Near Protocol, Zilliqa, and Ontology were also presented during this event.

2019–06 QuarkChain opened mainnet mining event
2019–07 QuarkChain mainnet added transaction function, and team destroyed 4 billion ERC20 QKC (40% of total tokens)
2019–07 QuarkChain Collaborates with Chainlink to Jointly Develop New Field of Blockchain Application
2019–07 QuarkChain Mainnet token swap official started
2019–08 Blockchain-focused QuarkChain Attends Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Beijing Summit
2019–08 QuarkChain Embarks Buyback $25 Million Program With Extend Lockup Period for 1 Billion QKC
To show the long-term faith of the project and enhance the confidence of the community, QuarkChain team and foundation decided to launch an up to $25 million USD equivalent QKC buyback program. Meanwhile, we will postpone the unlock time of 1 billion QKC (belong to the team and the foundation) until June 2020.
2019–08 QuarkChain Announced a Strategic Partnership with Unicom Innovation VC, A Blockchain Innovation Lab Will Be Established
2019–08 QuarkChain engineering team participated in Web3 Summit 2019, Dr. Qi Zhou gave a presentation about Boson consensus.
2019–10 QuarkChain participates in the Devcon5 to share the latest advances in public chain technology
2019–11 Go Programming Language of QuarkChain was Launched and Open-source.
Execution of the “Go” version is more efficient and its TPS can be 5 times higher than that of the Python version. Achieving million TPS down the road is not a dream.
2019–11 QuarkChain attended the World Blockchain Conference in Wuzhen.
2019–11 QuarkChain 2nd TPS Competition Is Launching With 3BTC Rewards
2019–12 QuarkChain TPS Competition Final Leaderboard Announced with 310,000 TPS Achievement
2020–01 QuarkChain Foundation Grants Program
QuarkChain launched QuarkChain Foundation Grants Programs, engineers who build a web front-end for multinative token auction, issuance, and gas reserve management will receive high rewards.
