Welcome to the 26th QuarkChain Bi-weekly Report for the period from Feb. 22 to Mar. 13.
Development Progresses
- Implemented a fixed token supply model in pyquarkchain;
- Implemented an extensible transaction data structure which makes adding new transaction formats or updating existing transaction formats easy in the future;
- Evaluated some options for performing third-party code review.
QuarkChain Mainnet launch has been scheduled.
QuarkChain will officially launch the Mainnet 1.0 Singularity on April 30, 2019 UTC+8. Mainnet Singularity will finish what Ethereum 2.0 plans to achieve ahead of time and will be the world’s first blockchain project that fully implemented state sharding technology. In addition, QuarkChain so far is the only public chain looking into supporting various consensus algorithms, multiple virtual machines, and multi-native tokens.
At the same time, QuarkChain announced the launch of “Guardian Plan”. Hash power guardians are being recruited within the global community to guarantee the security of the mainnet system.

Testnet 2.5 Update
To better test and demonstrate several critical new features in the mainnet, we will upgrade Testnet 2.4 and launch Testnet 2.5. Testnet 2.5 will further improve the security and flexibility of the network. In addition, testnet mining event will be extended to the mainnet launch, and the mining rewards will be increased by 1 million QKC.
2. New Partnership
QuarkChain has recently made great achievements in expanding Korean market partners and has built up partnerships with VANTA, Coinplug, and Metadium.
VANTA aims to be the world’s first decentralized network that enables fast and low-cost development and operation of scalable services that provide infinite connectivity.
Coinplug is a blockchain company that aims to improve everyday lives. It is the no.1 blockchain patent holder in the world and is operating its exchange, enterprise solutions, and Metadium blockchain project.
Metadium is an ecosystem built on a public identity blockchain. Its vision is to create a free world through self-sovereign identity
QuarkChain strong entry ChainNode
In March 2019, the Babbitt Forum ushered in a massive upgrade and launched a brand new domain name and logo. Babbitt upgrade to ChainNode. As the first public chain in the world to successfully implement state sharding, QuarkChain strong entry ChainNode. Together with nearly 100 nodes, QuarkChain will become the connecting point of the public to the world of blockchains.
3. Event
TOKEN 2049 in Hong Kong Mar.13–14
Dr. Qi Zhou, as one of the keynote speakers, spoke at the conference of TOKEN 2049. The title of his talk is “Boson Consensus: A Scalable Blockchain Sharding Consensus”.
Hong Kong Offline Event
QuarkChain held an offline event with several famous blockchain projects such as CoinSuper, Ontology, and so on during the evening of March 13 to share the future and solutions of the public blockchain and communicate with the blockchain enthusiasts.
