QuarkChain Bug Bounty Plan Update: Test EIP155 to Win QKC Rewards
We’re happy to announce that the EIP155 has been successfully deployed to the QuarkChain testnet recently, and will be updated to the mainnet soon. In order to further improve network security, we have decided to hold a bug bounty for EIP155 and provide up to 100,000 QKC rewards for vulnerability feedback, bug discovery, and referrals.
The Effects of EIP155 Update
By introducing the EIP 155 code support, the QuarkChain network will be compatible with various wallets such as Metamask, Ledger, and Trezor. Users can directly use the aforementioned wallets to implement DeFi and other applications on the QuarkChain mainnet. Users only need to select the corresponding network, rather than switch the wallets, to use the QuarkChain network functions and can have a consistent user experience with the Ethereum network but enjoy lower gas fees.
We have always maintained a cautious and serious attitude regarding the assets security updates such as wallets. In order to ensure the security of this update, provide the highest level of security for users’ property, and maintain the safest project, QuarkChain has created this bug bounty program for the EIP155 update on the basis of the “Quark Developer Bounty”. We provide amazing rewards for vulnerability feedback, bug discovery, and referrals. The rules are as follows:
Security Vulnerabilities & Bug Bounty
Anyone is allowed to report any security bug issue related to EIP155 update to QuarkChain official team members. The corresponding QKC will be rewarded according to the severity of the bug after rating, such as:
I) 100,000 QKC for high-rated bug. e.g.
i) Blockchain forks caused by node failing to synchronize, which results from consensus bugs; or
ii) Token loss caused by security bug, etc.
II) 50,000 QKC for medium-rated bug. e.g., a situation that may cause a large number of nodes crashing; transactions cannot be performed normally, network fails to produce blocks, etc.
III) 10,000 QKC for low-rated bug. e.g. JSON RPC returns error result; Node fails to start properly, etc.
For non-technical participants, we encourage you to invite friends to join the bounty program for getting rewards. Invitee joined the campaign and the inviter gets 20% from the rewarded QKC (rewarded by doing activities) of the invitee.
Start Time: From the date of announcement
