Welcome to the 76th QuarkChain Monthly Report (April 2022). We will post monthly reports including development progress, monthly news, and events at the end of each month. In the future, QuarkChain strives to do better. Let’s review what happened in the past month!
1) Development Progress
Add a new release for performance improvement: Skip handling a new minor block if its root block confirmation is too old.
2) Recent news
2.1 QuarkChain mainnet version 1.6.0 upgrade successfully completed
In order to better protect the QuarkChain mainnet and achieve asset bridging with other chains, we proposed a self-adjustment mechanism to increase the network’s hash power by reducing the effective difficulty of PoSW stakers on the root chain.
At the time of writing, the post-staking hash power of the QuarkChain root chain has increased from 10Gh/s to 4.5Ph/s (note that Ethereum’s is 1.0Ph/s)!

2.2 Dr. Zhou, founder and CEO of QuarkChain, put forward multiple Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) based on QuarkChain’s experience and were adopted
Recently, combined with QuarkChain’s experience in blockchain and the commonality between QuarkChain and Ethereum in the multi-layered aspects mainly based on virtual machines, Dr. Zhou, the founder and CEO of QuarkChain, put forward a number of Ethereum improvement proposals (EIP) to the Ethereum community and were adopted. These proposals have become QuarkChain’s contribution to the development of the entire blockchain industry, and also provide a broader test platform for Dr. Zhou’s blockchain system design ideas, and can provide the same functions on QuarkChain.

2.3 QuarkChain Korea Team Gave a Lecture on NFT to LG Electronics H&A Marketing Team
On April 15th, QuarkChain’s Korean team gave a lecture on NFT to LG Electronics’ Home Appliance & Air Solutions (H&A) Marketing Communication Team.
At the request of the LG Electronics H&A Team Marketing Communication Team, the QuarkChain team explained what NFT is, what various applied cases there are, and what types and cases can be used in LG Electronics with examples.
A total of 60 team members participated and listened to the 40-minute lecture and asked various high-level questions.

2.4 QuarkChain partners with RocketX to provide a better exchange experience for QKC and QuarkChain network support
RocketX Exchange has partnered with QuarkChain to support QKC Token and plans to support QuarkChain mainnet in the near future. RocketX Exchange now supports QKC BEP20 Token and QKC ERC20 Token via Binance integration, and in the near future, RocketX will work on supporting the QuarkChain network on RocketX Exchange.
2.5 Encentive & QuarkChain Strategic Partnership Announced
Encentive.io, a Web3 infrastructure meta-platform, officially joins forces with QuarkChain to provide exclusive Web3 infrastructure, full technical support, and operational and maintenance services to further facilitate the QuarkChain ecosystem.
2.6 QuarkChain is included in the G.Crypto list
QuarkChain was selected as “15 Promising Projects with Market Caps Below $150 Million” by GCrypto, an investment research institute.
3) Events
3.1 QuarkChain at #Bitcoin2022 Summit in Miami
QuarkChain participated in the 2022 Bitcoin Conference (#Bitcoin 2022), which is known as the “biggest global Bitcoin summit in history”. During the event, the QuarkChain team participated in the conference with fellow practitioners, blockchain enthusiasts, and other key opinion leaders in the field, in order to network, discuss potential partnerships, and learn more about new and upcoming blockchain technology.
