QuarkChain Participated in Cointelegraph’s Meet The Metaverse Event Recap
On October 24, 2021, the “Meet The Metaverse · NFT World New Wave” conference was successfully held at Shanghai World Financial Center during Shanghai Blockchain Week. The event attracted many people’s attention in the crypto industry. QuarkChain’s core engineer and tech lead Junjia participated in the panel session during this event.
The concept of the Metaverse has taken the world by storm and has successfully entered the mainstream perspective. It has also become a hot topic in the blockchain industry. The Metaverse products on the market cover many different fields, but there are no mature applications or solutions at present. They are still in the stage of exploration and development, and the ecosystem is not yet mature. In the second half of 2021, DeFi, Metaverse, NFT, and other tracks have entered a new round of development, which also contains many new opportunities.
In the panel session, Junjia mentioned that NFT, GameFi, Metaverse, etc., are limited by the scalability of Ethereum and that too many assets are being created on ETH. In order to solve the problem, developers often choose to develop independently or choose a chain with better performance to carry the application and use a cross-chain bridge to ensure the interoperability of assets with Ethereum. Therefore, in the future, middleware that can help various systems achieve better communication will play an important role.
In addition, every major IT company can make the metaverse concept a reality. But whether for compliance reasons or other reasons, it is likely that large companies still want to sell advertisements or user data in their metaverse world. Crypto punks may not have as many resources as large companies, but the metaverse of the crypto punk faction that represents the original cryptocurrency looks more interesting because they can truly embody some of the spirits of the blockchain in their metaverse.
